Dr. Althea Premium Quick Step Sebum Cleanser is an effective cleanser that loosens up sebum, blackheads and whiteheads. It has a light liquid formula that smells like peppermint, but it does not irritate my skin. However, if peppermint in skincare products bother your skin, you will want to skip this product altogether. After cleansing the face, I splash it with warm water, and then apply this cleansing serum to the provided cotton pads and leave it on my face for about 15 minutes. After I remove the cotton pad, I rinse my skin with warm water and use the cotton swab to gently left the sebum, blackheads and whiteheads from the impacted pores. There is no need to squeeze or apply pressure– at least that has been my experience. I marvel as the gunk that is purged from my pores, but I do not need to use this product very often. I have normal skin with an active T-Zone, but my skin doesn't generate a lot of blackheads or whiteheads, and therefore I only use it as needed (about once a month). Thus, depending upon your type of skin, your use will widely vary.

Overall Assessment: This is the type of product that I only need to use periodically, but if you get lots of blackheads and whiteheads you may find this quite useful to eliminate them.
