The Visiting Cooper's Hawk

Among the wild birds that visit my yard are several Cooper's Hawks, and a few weeks ago a staggering three of them appeared at the same time. Here is one of them drinking from the fountain on the patio. What a sight to see.

    I love hawks. There is something so majestic about them. Unfortunately, where I live, there is so much development and tearing up of natural habitats that I don't see them as often. You are so lucky to have this beautiful photo!

      I love them too, Marsha! They really are majestic and so captivating to watch! It is always so sad that we continually displace them, but I imagine that once construction subsides that you will see them return. I only say this because I live in the middle of very densely populated LA, and they are regular visitors!
