CLE Cosmetics Melting Lip Powder in Desert Rose is a beautiful deep, dusty rose shade with a slight brown undertone. It comes out of the tube as a powder, but it immediately melts into a liquid. It has a matte finish, and can be used with a light hand for a wash of color, or layered for maximum pigmentation and intensity. While it has a matte finish, it isn't drying on the lips. Ingredients such as Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid ensure that it isn't a typical drying matte lipstick. In fact, CLE Cosmetics has formulated it for use on the lips, cheeks and eyelids. I have not tested it on my eyes or cheeks, but I am impressed by its longevity on my lips. If you like a long wearing lipstick, but don't like to wear mattes, then this can be layered under your favorite lip gloss as well.

Directions: For drier lips, prep & prime with a hydrating moisturizer for easier application. Using the included lip applicator, fingertips, or makeup brush, apply Melting Lip Powder directly onto the desired area.

Once friction is applied, the powder will dissolve into a long-lasting tint. All colors can be mixed together and/or layered to create your own customized shade and can be used on lips, eyes, and cheeks.

The first initial applications of the Melting Lip Powder will release powder fallout. After a few uses, the encapsulated essence will release, effectively “melting” the powder and making it easier to apply without losing any product.

To customize your shades, CLE Cosmetics suggests:

Mix with other Melting Lip Powder shades to create your own custom shade! Mix Melting Lip Powder with Essence Moonlighter Cushion to create a shimmery blush.

Blend with your CCC Cream shade to create a soft, natural blush. Apply them on your eyes, lips, and cheeks for a monochrome look.

Overall Assessment: I love this formula, and now I have my eye on Berry Mauve!
