Beverly Hills MD Cosmeceuticals Activated Retinol Night Treatment

Beverly Hills MD Cosmeceuticals Activated Retinol Night Treatment is a retinol gel-serum that effectively causes skin cell turnover while you sleep. The microencapsulated retinol allows the delivery of a high-potency variant that does not dry out the skin. If ever you have had skin peeling and drying, from a retinol-based product, as I have, then you will be elated by the results of this one. I simply apply two pumps of this gel into my freshly cleansed skin, at night only, and it immediately melts into my skin. It has a light scent that quickly fades, but it is quite pleasant. Not only does it exfoliate dead skin cells, to reveal fresh and luminous skin, but it also fades hyperpigmentation, softens the appearance of fine lines and improves the appearance of the skin.

Nota Bene: It is exceedingly important to use a high SPF sunscreen to protect your skin, and it is imperative to do so when using retinol products. It is also important to see your doctor before using retinol-based products to evaluate your skin. If you have moles, areas of discoloration etc,. you want to make sure that you are not applying products, such as retinol, to precancerous or cancerous lesions. I always err on the side of caution, and my doctor is quite accustomed to looking at product ingredients and evaluating moles, hyperpigmentation and anything else that requires her expertise.
According to Beverly Hills MD Cosmeceuticals,

Beverly Hills MD Activated Retinol Overnight Treatment is a powerful gel-serum solution that works to promote ‘radically’ younger-looking skin while you sleep. By supporting your natural cell turnover, circulation, and collagen processes, this breakthrough formula rapidly works to soften the look of lines, reduce the appearance of dark spots, reveal a dazzlingly radiant complexion, and give loose skin a tighter and more sculpted look. *All individuals are unique. Your results can and will vary.

Developed using the latest microencapsulation technology, this extraordinary solution lets you enjoy all the age-defying effects of a high-potency retinol treatment, without dehydrating your skin’s surface. Each application penetrates deep down to help combat the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, dullness, and sagging — while leaving skin feeling luxuriously plump and hydrated after every use. *All individuals are unique. Your results can and will vary.

Directions: Apply 1-2 pumps of serum to your face and neck every night after cleansing. Once the serum has fully soaked into your skin, you can apply your other nighttime products as usual.

Note: Since this formula is designed to support cell turnover, you should always apply a quality mineral SPF the following morning to protect the fresh layer of skin underneath!

  2. Hi, Lola - It's nice to hear about a retinol product that manages to be gentle on the skin, because this ingredient is heavy duty! Who better to come up with a perfectly balanced skin treatment than Beverly Hills MD? Sounds like something women over 60, like me, could use to make sure that age doesn't matter ;) Thanks - Angie, www.yourtrueselfblog.com

  3. I believe in the power of retinol. And thank you for the reminder about the moles. I do use sunscreen daily because I use retinoids, but never really thought much about it going over moles!

    1. I believe in it too! Well, it's those pesky moles that may look okay to an untrained eye, but that a doctor or dermatologist might find problematic (cancerous, pre-cancerous etc.). I have my doctor look at my skin closely whenever I add products like retinol, heavy exfoliants etc. I us sunscreen daily too, but sometimes I don't reapply often enough. Plus, since I live in Los Angeles I get a lot of sun exposure just doing normal activities out in the world, and our family dermatologist has always been adamant about high SPF sunscreens and watching moles and sunspots to make sure that they do not become suspicious and potentially malignant!

  5. My skin isn't used to retinol but I can tell I'm missing out by avoiding it. I'd like this to help with hyperpigmentation on my cheeks.
