When Travelmate Sheet Masks to Soothe and Hydrate Skin

I absolutely love using sheet masks because they are fun, effective and so easy to use. I have a collection of them that range from the very affordable to the very expensive, but what I seek above all is efficacy, and that can be found at a wide range of price points. WHEN Travelmate Sheet Masks are more affordable than the really expensive sheet masks, but more expensive than the drugstore varieties on the market, but they are definitely effective and worth trying.

How to use WHEN Sheet Masks:
When Travelmate is a mask that was conceived to refresh your skin while you are traveling. It refreshes and deeply hydrates skin in order to protect it against hours of exposure to the elements, long trips by plane, and any other traveling circumstances that tend to disrupt the equilibrium of your skin. It does not contain a sunscreen, and should not be used instead of a sunscreen, but it does give the skin a tremendous dose of hydration that plumps and nourishes. I was traveling when I tested this mask, but it was only a relatively short distance by car, but I did notice that it left my skin ultra-hydrated, luminous and dewy all day long.

This mask is described as a "soft, jelly-like" sheet mask that is generously filled with serum, and there is a lot of serum that is left in the bottom of the pouch that I like to use on my neck, décolleté and hands for maximum effect.

According to WHEN,

When you are on the road, take along When Travelmate to help refresh your skin from hours in the sun, wind and dry air. When Travelmate will go the distance with you. Don’t leave home without it!

The soft, jelly like mask sheet is made from coconut juice and is infused with light, conforting serum. When Travelmate contains chamomile and Swiss Alpine herb extracts to gently hydrate and soothe skin. All When masks contain hyaluronic acid and ginseng extracts to help keep skin healthy.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Butylene glycol, Glycerin, Dicaprylyl carbonate, Chamomilla recutita flower water, Polyacrylate 13, Saccharide isomerate, Citrus grandis seed extract, Bambusa textilis stem extract, Pinus palustris leaf extract, Caprylyl glycol, Polyisobutene, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, 1,2 Hexanediol, Polysorbate 20, Sorbitan isostearate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium hyaluronate, Arnica montana flower extract, Artemisia absinthium extract, Achillea millefolium extract, Gentiana lutea root extract, Citric acid, Sodium citrate, Disodium EDTA, Colloidal platinum, Panax ginseng extract, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Linalool.

Recommended usage: 2-3 times a week but can be used as often as desired as a regular part of your skin care regime.
Overall Assessment: If you love using sheet masks, then When Travelmate masks are worth trying, and you certainly don't have to be traveling to benefit from their use. If your skin is dehydrated, then this mask is a wonderful antidote!

$7.00 each, $26.00 for a set of 4 and $84.00 for a set of 12. Serum net weight: 23 g (0.8 fl oz) per mask. Available from  When and When's Amazon Store, (Affiliate Links)

  1. I noticed it’s made from bio-cellulose. I’m wondering if I could put it on the compost pile?

    1. That's an excellent question, and I am not sure. I imagine that it would break down.

  2. I wish I was more into sheet masks. I can't get over the cold feeling. Are there any you like that don't feel so cold and slimy?

    1. If you don't like the cold and slimy feeling, then I don't really think that sheet masks are going to be a pleasant experience. The cool feeling subsides once it reaches body temperature, but all of the heat masks that I have used tend to be so loaded up with serum that the slimy feeling doesn't really subside.

  3. I can keep a sheet mask on for about 15 minutes before I'm ready to take it off. I like ones out of this material as they stay on well.

    1. I know what you mean, but I do tend to leave them on for about 30 minutes. I agree with you about the bio-cellulose masks, they really do stay on the skin much more effectively!

  4. This sounds like a nice alternative to my more expensive sheet masks.

  5. These sound like perfection, although, I don't think I've yet to find a sheet mask I didn't like.
