BITE Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Pastille

A wonderful longtime reader, who lives nowhere near a Sephora, asked me to swatch and assess BITE Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Pastille for her. I had actually swatched it once before and wanted to get it, but somehow forgot about it. The moment that I swatched it this time, I knew that I needed to have it. However, the line was too long, and my movie was about to start– therefore I will be buying mine soon!

BITE Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Pastille is a gorgeous mauve pink that has a super creamy consistency and gorgeous pigmentation. It boasts full opacity in a single pass, and while it is a matte it does not appear flat.

Bite Beauty's latest breakthrough formula boasts a collection of beautiful nudes, striking reds, and deep burgundies with a matte yet moist texture. The secret is the moisture-locking power of orange peel wax along with the antioxidant properties of resveratrol. Each gorgeous shade is water-resistant and long wearing.

Bite's products are free of polybutenes, sulfates, and petroleum byproducts. The lips-only collection is certified gluten-free and made with food-grade ingredients, without sacrificing pigmentation or performance.
Select Ingredients and their attributes:
  • Resveratrol (5mg): Acts as an antioxidant.
  • Orange Peel Wax: Naturally protects and seals in moisture while providing a waterproof layer on the surface of lips.
  • Organic Fruit Butters, Jojoba, and Castor Oil: Leave lips super-soft and hydrated..

  1. The shade is beautiful and is the kind of color I gravitate to for everyday. I love Bite Beauty too, but I am done with mattes. My poor dry lips protest!

    1. Isn't it gorgeous?! I definitely plan to get it, and I will definitely let you know if it feels drying. My hope is that it is either lightly moisturizing, or at least not drying!

  2. I was hoping today would be Barneys Love Yourself pre-information day as I believe the pre-sell is starting Friday.

    1. Barney's never officially releases any information this early. They keep an embargo on that information until a bit closer to the event. I will post as soon as I get anything concrete! :-)

    1. Hi, Believe it or not, it's the same color in both swatches. One is just applied heavier than the other. :-)

  5. Funny, I don't find the "matte" pencils from BITE to be drying and I have insanely sensitive lips. That colour... Now I need it.

  8. I don't necessarily find the bite matte pencils to be too drying... but sometimes, they are - though not very often. I love the colors.
