Just Natural Organic Skin Care Anti-Aging Eye Serum Review

 Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

The one product that has been missing from my large collection of luxury beauty oils has been one that is specifically formulated for the delicate eye area. In fact, every single time that I look into new beauty oils it is one of the first products that I seek out. There is no question that I use the oils that I do have under my eyes, but I have really really been wanting an oil for my eyes alone. Now I can happily report that I have found one, and I am just elated about it.
Just Natural Anti-Aging Eye Serum is a lovely lightweight blend of carefully selected oils that deeply nourish and hydrate the delicate under eye area, and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The antioxidant rich formula fights free radicals while it leaves skin soft, supple, and with a pronounced luminosity.

I have been using it both night and day, and am just thrilled by the results. My skin is taut, luminous, hydrated, and has an even-tone and lovely texture. It is very concentrated so only the smallest amount is needed for both eyes. I apply it to warm damp skin, and this lovely serum sinks in very quickly. Since my under eye area is not dry I am able to use this eye serum in lieu of an eye cream, but if you have particularly dry skin you could layer this serum with your favorite eye cream for added moisture.

According to Just Natural,

Elegant and effective care for the delicate eye area. The area around your eyes is delicate, important and precious. It is also the area most prone to fine lines and crow’s feet.

Ingredients: Borage Oil, Argan Oil, Olive Squalane Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Daikon Radish Seed Oil, Meadowfoam Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Camellia Oil, Avocado Fruit Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil, Sweet Orange Blossom Essential Oil, Vitamin E.
Selected Ingredients and their Benefits:

Squaline Oil: Olive Squalane is a highly refined pure vegetable Squalane made from Olive oil. Olive Squalane can help to replenish the natural levels of lipids lost through the normal aging process. It helps to restore a more youthful appearance and resistance to aging conditions. Squalane’s hydrating and skin-softening effects on the skin help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It is rapidly absorbed without leaving an oily or greasy feeling. Squalane is a natural part of human skin and plays an important role in the repair of damaged or aging skin.

Borage Oil: Borage oil is derived from the seeds of the Borage plant, also known as the blue starflower. It is an annual herb native to the Mediterranean. Borage has one of the highest amounts of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) of all seed oils. Borage oil can help to dramatically improve dry, flaky skin conditions. It is not only very soothing and softening to the skin, but also helps to reduce the redness so often experienced with very sensitive skin. The tannins contained in Borage oil have a tightening effect on the skin making it a valuable addition to anti-aging skin care products.

Argan Oil: Argan oil is produced from the kernels of the Argan tree from Morocco and is valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. After removing the outer layer, the kernels are toasted and then cold pressed by hand to extract oil. Argan oil is loaded with tocopherols (natural Vitamin E) and Vitamin A which are helpful for skin health. This natural oil is a rich source of essential fatty acids particularly linoleic acid which protects the skin from harmful free radicals.

Evening Primrose Oil: Evening Primrose is a flowering plant that has been used throughout the centuries. It is native to Mexico and some parts of Central America. Evening Primrose’s healing action results from its high content of gamma linolenic acid (GLA).  This essential fatty acid is vital to cell and body functions and not produced by the body. Diminishes the appearance of aging by strengthening and hydrating the skin's moisture barrier.

Camellia Seed Oil: Camellia seed oil has been recognized for centuries for its highly restorative and rejuvenating effect on the skin. Japanese Camellia seed oil is obtained by cold pressing seeds of the Camellia japonica flower without any chemical or heat refining. The oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds. This natural plant oil contains anti-oxidants that help to revitalize and renew skin.
Overall Assessment: This eye serum is exactly what I have been waiting for! Not only do I love this luxurious and highly effective oil-based eye serum, but it is infinitely affordable!

  1. Wow! :-D Sounds amazing - and I'm glad you've been enjoying it so much ^_^. I've been feeling lately like I need a better moistuirser, but the prospect of finding a new one is kind of daunting, so I satisfy myself by reading other peoples' skincare reviews, eheh!

That said, this brand and I need to have a little chat about their 'chemical free' status. I know they think there's a difference between chemicals and *chemicals!frownyface!*, but there isn't, and it makes my chemist's face twitch. I should probably get out of the lab more... ;-)

    1. Hi Syl, I am so happy with this oil, and have been wanting an oil-based serum for the eyes for a very very long time-- so count me one seriously happy girl! I know what you mean-- it can really be a daunting process trying to find the perfect moisturizer, and favorable reviews do not necessarily translate in those products working for your skin!

Ah, the eye of a chemist-- what a great gift to have!!!!!!!!! This certainly allows you to scrutinize ingredients in away that the rest of us can't! :-)

    2. It's kind of a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, I find ingredient lists easy to navigate, but on the other hand, it's even easier to become sad at how many everyday brands use what amount to fear tactics for the sole purpose of making more money (touting the lack of certain things that are not harmful, or the necessity-or-you'll-get-cancer of a product that is not, etc). The classic example of this is the ol' 'paraben free' chestnut, but there are many, many others!

Still, I try not to let it get in the way of enjoying awesome products, because whether or not it has 'chemicals' in it, the important thing is that it does what it says and makes one happy! :-)

    3. Yes, but it allows you to see right through false and exaggerated claims so quickly! I would think that it is a great way to weed out so many brands, albeit rather sadly! Ah yes, the whole paraben debate!

I think that you are right-- it becomes about selecting products that you love and that make you happy! :-)
