Prescriptives, which is part of the Estee Lauder Company, has relaunched and revitalized a pared down list of offerings. I was told by one of their online consultants that the line, which was established in 1979, closed down global distribution in January 2010, but that Prescriptives continued to sell exclusively online at www.prescriptives.com.
Prescriptives wants to service loyal customers by making key products available as long as there is a demand for them. Their new mantra "Established 1979. Refreshed 2011" should help garner some attention in their new and revitalized online presence. Prescriptives enthusiasts should be happy to see that many of the cult classics like Super Line Preventor Xtreme and Virtual Skin Foundation are still available.
They offer an online chat forum with one of their beauty consultants, and include a feature that emails you the "Chat Transcript."
