Erno Laszlo AHA Resurfacing Sleep Serum Review

Purchased (Affiliate Links)

During my recent Erno Laszlo purchasefest, I decided to try Erno Laszlo AHA Resurfacing Sleep Serum because I am a big fan of overnight exfoliators that do the work while you sleep. This sleep serum uses a mixture of Lactic, Glycolic and Citric acids to exfoliate dead skin cells, and reveal smooth, refreshed and luminous skin in the morning. One of the remarkable features about this serum is that it is actually quite gentle on the skin, and I haven't experienced visible peeling, redness or any irritation. It boasts an antioxidant-rich formula that includes ingredients such as Goji Berry and Plum Extracts that help to protect skin from free-radicals, and they also hydrate the skin. The serum, itself, is lightweight, non-greasy and fast absorbing, and it leaves behind no residue. After several weeks of use, I have noted that my skin is soft, smooth, supple and brightened. Fine lines are softened, skin is more luminous and it looks thoroughly refreshed. As with any exfoliating product, you need to make sure to be vigilant in your use of a high SPF sunscreen to protect your exfoliated skin.

According to Erno Laszlo,

Sleep Smarter. This powerful AHA serum is a proven treatment to resurface dull skin to reveal your most youthful-looking complexion. This multi-tasking night serum is the perfect solution for anyone whose skin feels dull and uneven.

Our 15% AHA blend with Wild Plum and Goji Berry packs the power of a chemical peel with the tender touch of an overnight serum. Lactic and glycolic acids slough off dead skin cells, revealing a brighter complexion. Working in tandem with these exfoliating acids, a Wild Plum cocktail of Kakadu, Illawarra, and Budekin boosts skin’s luminosity, while Goji Berry lends a surge of line-refining hydration. Together, these ingredients are clinically proven to smooth skin's texture while you sleep.

Directions: An easy, nightly skincare indulgence, this gentle serum takes the place of a weekly facial. Recommended for dull, congested, and rough-textured complexions. Formulated for all skin types.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Chlorphenesin, Citric Acid, Hexanoyl Dipeptide-3 Norleucine Acetate, Lecithin, Lycium Chinese Fruit Extract, Malic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Phytic Acid, Pleiogynium Timorienese Fruit Extract, Podocarpus Elatus Fruit Extract, Pullulan, Salicylic Acid, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Sclerotium Gum, Sea Salt, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Carrageenan, Terminalia Ferdinandiana Fruit Extract, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin.

Formulated Without: Phthalates, Parabens, Sulfates, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Urea, Colorants or Fragrance.

Overall Assessment: This was a really good purchase. Every once and a while I throw caution to the wind and just try something new without doing a tremendous amount of product research– for the sole reason that I just want to try it. That was definitely the case with Erno Laszlo AHA Resurfacing Sleep Serum, but fortunately I really like this serum a lot. I did purchase it during SkinStore's big sale, at a substantial discount, and I probably wouldn't have made the purchase of an unknown product this expensive otherwise. I highly recommend this serum if you are looking for a gentle exfoliating serum.

    1. Me too, otherwise it would have still been an expensive mistake! It is gentle and effective, and it was the ingredients list that really made me want to try it. It's definitely winner for me!

  2. I was hoping when I read the name that it would help me sleep but hopefully you can still use this when you are tossing and turning!

    1. If only it did that too, Marcia! It definitely does an outstanding job sloughing off those dead skin cells while you sleep, though.
