Winter Face and Body Moisturizers to Combat Dry Skin

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

While I do not have dry skin naturally, like many I definitely experience it during the colder months of the year. This year, for some reason, my skin has been more dry than usual– therefore, I thought that I would share a few new-to-me products that have been doing an impressive job maintaining the hydration levels of my skin.
IOPE Super Vital Cream ($100.00 for 1.69 oz. from Aritaum): This is an ultra-rich, and yet exceedingly lightweight and fast absorbing, face cream that has a dreamy velvety texture that melts into the skin immediately. It leaves behind absolutely no residue, despite its serious emollience, and it leaves skin immediately hydrated, soft, smooth and luminous. It does have a light and clean aroma, but it fades quickly.

According to IOPE,

Address the more complex signs of aging with the power of Super Plant™ Selaginella for a revitalized complexion. Rich all-in-one anti-aging cream combines “Super Flavonoid” and IOPE’s exclusive Bio-seletinoid™ in a naturally derived botanical equation to help boost skin’s youthful quality by enhancing the look of dullness, fine wrinkles and elasticity. The velvety, nutrient-rich texture melts on skin to keep complexion hydrated, radiant and youthful looking. The rich, creamy honey texture melts and adheres to skin for a supremely soft, moisturized look and feel.

Directions: Step 1: In the morning and evening, after using a softener, serum and eye cream, scoop out 0.5ml (a dime-sized amount) of the cream. Step 2: Apply product evenly on the forehead, both cheeks, and chin.Tap the surface of the skin to reduce residue and increase absorption to the skin.
The Plant Science: "Super Plant™ Selaginella has the ability to survive in the most extreme environments without water, reviving itself at the first rainfall. Selaginella holds a powerful life force in its extract that IOPE combined with Waxberry Extract to create a “Super Flavonoid” with a superior antioxidant and anti-aging benefit that helps promote more radiant and firmer complexion."

Uncle Bud's Body Wash with Hemp Seed Oil ($13.99 for 8 oz. from Amazon): I had never tried anything from this brand before, and didn't know what to expect, but I absolutely fell in love with this body wash the first time that I tried it. It contains Aloe Vera and Hemp Seed Oil that moisturize the skin, and it has a creamy-dreamy lather (especially when used with a body mit or sponge) that is non-drying. Not only does it thoroughly clean and hydrate the skin, but I find it emollient enough that I can shave my legs with it. It has the delectable scent of coconut that makes the whole shower smell delicious.

Uncle Bud's Coconut + Hemp Oil Massage & Body Oil ($12.95 for 4 oz. from Amazon): This can either be used as a massage or body oil, but I have only used it as body oil and can't really comment on its efficacy as a massage oil. It is a very lightweight and fast-absorbing oil that very effectively moisturizes dry skin. I have been using it to moisturize my whole body, but have really noticed the difference in my legs since they have been unusually dry this winter. It is nourishing, healing and ultra-hydrating.
