As you are no doubt aware, I recently splurged on numerous treasures from Charlotte Tilbury, and I have been so delighted by her high quality luxury line that I just can't stop praising its magnificence. In fact, the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Youth-Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation in Fair 3, which was my most recent acquisition, was one of my best recent purchases. Fair 3, which is the third lightest of the shades, is not a bad match for my skin tone. It's a touch yellow-based, and while it contrasts a bit with my cool-toned skin– it does melt into my skin seamlessly without appearing too warm for my complexion.

The lightweight formula is neither matte, nor is it dewy– instead it offers a natural finish that lightly illuminates the skin without making it appear wet or greasy. It glides across the skin effortlessly and it neither emphasizes fine lines, nor does it settle into pores. It offers the skin a silky finish, and it hydrates the skin without compromising its own longevity. Furthermore, it boasts light to medium buildable coverage while it evens out skin tone. If, however, you prefer full coverage foundations this may not be the best foundation for you. I prefer tinted moisturizers and light coverage foundations– therefore this is just my type of foundation. It is formulated to work well for most types of skin including dry, normal and combination. I suspect that it will also work well for oiler skin types.

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Youth-Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation comes in a lightweight plastic bottle with a nozzle top that prevents spills, and makes it perfect for travel or for your makeup bag. It does contain an SPF 15, which is an added bonus, however I only ever use a minimum of an SPF 30, and therefore I still have to use an additional sunscreen.
According to Charlotte Tilbury,

Darlings, my Light Wonder Foundation in Fair 2 is the perfect shade for fair skin tones. Featuring ingredients to smooth, hydrate, illuminate, minimise pores AND reduce wrinkles.

  2. Sounds great for those who want lighter coverage. I will get there one day but for now I have too much to cover!

    1. Lighter to medium, but definitely not a full-coverage foundation. It's definitely worth checking out next time you are at The Grove.

  3. I thought I saw that they had come out with a newer foundation too. From your chart they all look darker than what I'd normally wear but hopefully I'll see it soon.

    1. TO my knowledge there is only this and the Magic Foundation. She recently launched the Flawless Hollywood Filter, but that is supposed to be a complexion booster.

  4. It sounds so lovely but I prefer full coverage. However, your description is so tempting, I think I'll hit up Nordstrom for a sample to see if it will work for me.

    1. If you prefer full coverage, then you might not like this one as much as her Magic Foundation (which is full coverage). I think the formula of this foundation is so good that it definitely warrants seeking out a sample from Nordstrom. You might like the formula and coverage for spring and summer.
