ESPA Mandarin Lip Balm | Review

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

ESPA Mandarin Lip Balm is a wonderful luxury balm that heals dry, chapped lips by providing intense moisture and hydration. This 100% natural formula includes ultra-nourishing, antioxidant-rich ingredients that protect, hydrate, soften and heal even the most chapped lips.

My lips have been particularly chapped this season, and this luxurious English Lip Balm has performed small miracles on them. After only a few days of use my lips were transformed from tight, red and chapped to soft, supple, hydrated and healed. The soft texture is waxy enough to cling to lips and provide longterm hydration, and it has the perfect amount of cushion. While the Mandarin taste is delectable, it is quite subtle, and the flavor fades after less than a minute.
The compact, in which the balm is housed, is luxe with a satisfying heft– yet it boasts a slim and unobtrusive profile. The underside of the lid features a useful mirror, and the lid closes with a very gratifying click.
According to ESPA,

Rich in texture - a little bit of everyday luxury to soften, smooth and protect lips
Enriched with a 100% natural formulation, derived from the finest ingredients including Mandarin Essential oil for a sweet citrus flavour and aroma, Wild Mango Butter to condition, soften and smooth, Pomegranate to increase hydration and Rosemary to protect against environmental damage which can lead to premature ageing. Our Mandarin Lip Balm is presented in a beautiful compact complete with integral mirror.
Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Punica Granatum Sterols, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil Expressed, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Octyldodecanol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Irvingia Gabonensis Kernel Butter, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.
Overall Assessment: There is no question that I have a serious penchant for luxury lip balms, and ESPA Mandarin Lip Balm now has pride of place among my favorites. If you love using high quality lip balms that are filled with natural ingredients– then this one is definitely worth your consideration.

    1. Hi Lizzie! It is among my guilty pleasures as well! This is an especially wonderful lip balm, and it went right into my purse because I basically want it with me everywhere I go! The attached lid really is handy and pragmatic, and you are quite right that you don't have to worry about losing the cap, or accidentally dropping it on the filthy street! I think that you will become obsessed with this lip balm, if you give it a try! Keep me posted, if you do get it! I would love to hear your thoughts! :-)

    1. Kindergarten is definitely a germy place that can keep the family sick for a long stretch! This lip balm does a really great job healing badly chapped lips, and it leaves them so soft, smooth and supple. I really love this stuff, and highly recommend it!
