That I am obsessed with high quality skincare barely warrants mention, but I try so many products that I sometimes feel a touch jaded because it isn't as easy to wow me as it once was. Throughout the years I have tried several dr. brandt skincare products and have always really liked the line, but lately have tested numerous products from the line that have really wowed me.

While I don't have what I would describe as enlarged pores, I have found myself utterly transfixed by the efficacy and visible results from dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion pore perfecting exfoliator and dr. brandt pores no more pore refiner primer.
dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator is an ultra-fine grit physical and chemical exfoliant that features uniformly shaped tiny exfoliating particles that gentle on the skin. Because of their uniformity they neither scratch, nor tear the skin, and therefore skin isn't in the least bit traumatized as is often the case after using assertive exfoliants. This exfoliator is so effective that one only needs to use a featherlight touch when massaging it into the skin. Since PoreDermabrasion pore perfecting exfoliator features physical and chemical exfoliators, it is a true dual action exfoliator. The physical exfoliating particles loosen and lift dead skin cells while the chemical exfoliants deeply cleanse congested pores. In order to take advantage of both types of exfoliants, I apply a small amount to damp skin and gently massage it in a circular motion for about a minute. I move it around my face without overdoing it in any one spot, and I always err on the side of caution to avoid over-exfoliation. Once I have finished this step I leave it on my face for a couple of minutes to allow the chemical exfoliants to deeply cleanse my pores, and then I rinse my skin very well to remove every trace of this potent exfoliant. The first thing that I notice is that my skin feels soft, smooth and supple, but not in the least bit stripped. What I immediately noticed, even after my first use, was that my congested pores were visibly cleared, and that my skin looked soft, supple, radiant and was silky smooth to the touch. While my pores aren't large, they definitely were less noticeable.

According to dr. brandt,

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion is a unique professional grade physical and chemical exfoliator and pore perfector in one. No matter how old you are or what type of skin you have, enlarged pores are a huge concern. Shrink them down to the vanishing point while smoothing and evening skin’s texture.

dr. brandt pores no more pore refiner primer is a lightly tinted primer that minimizes the appearance of pores by diffusing light and blurring imperfections and fine lines. It has a velvety smooth texture that glides across the skin effortlessly, and it melts into the skin leaving it even in tone and utterly perfected. While it is lightly tinted, it imparts no tangible color, but when worn alone there is a noticeable difference in the evening and perfecting of skin tone. It can be used alone or under your favorite foundations, tinted moisturizers and BB and CC creams, and the results are always impressive. Additionally, it does an exemplary job extending the life of your finishing products, and for me I enjoy full day wear without fading. Furthermore, I found it mildly moisturizing, rather than drying even though it claims to be mattifying. On my skin it offers a more natural finish rather than one that is truly matte.
According to dr. brandt,

A cult favorite, pores no more pore refiner primer is Dr. Brandt’s quick fix for flawless, photo-ready skin. It is the miracle base to create the perfect skin canvas for long-lasting makeup and well-preserved skin. The exfoliator is great for anyone looking to exfoliate and extract gunk from their pores, and the primer does a lovely job evening skin tone and blurring fine lines, pores and a multitude of other sins. I'm sure you will encounter samples again, and I would just give them a try if you do. :-)

  7. I have tried Poredermabrasion via Birchbox and love how works on my dry skin but I have yet tried the primer due to seeing "matte" !! I need to try that in store to see how it will react to my dry skin!

    1. I'm so glad that you have tried the PoreDermabrasion! I was surprised that it was so amazing- I somehow just expected that it would be a typical exfoliator, but it was so much better than that. I don't find the primer all that mattifying, but you might want to try a sample before buying it because it may not be as well suited for dry skin as it is for combination to oily skin.

  8. I've always meant to Pores No More, but never have. These both sound perfect!

    1. They are both really worth trying, Bailey!

  9. I love dual chemical/physical exfoliating products. They make my skin feel wonderful.

    1. Me too, Erika- they are so effective and efficient at removing dead skin cells!
