Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Sugar | Review

 Purchased by Me (Affiliate Links)

Liquid Lipstick fans already know that Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lips are a crowd pleaser, but for whatever reason I came to this particular party late, but now that I have entered the fold I'm here to stay.

Ever on the quest for the perfect nude lippie, I chose Melted Sugar, and am very pleased with my selection. Described as a Nude Sand, Melted Sugar is the perfect peachy pink nude shade that is easy to wear and very flattering. It offers super saturated opaque coverage, but if you want high impact color you will want to try one of the richer shades in the collection. Melted Sugar is lightweight and comfortable on the lips, and has the perfect amount of cushion for long-wear. The slanted applicator tip effortlessly adapts to the contours of the lips for precise foolproof application, and deposits color smoothly and evenly.
According to Too Faced,

Get the staying power of a stain, the intense color of a liquid lipstick and the high shine of a gloss in one long-wear formula. Using exclusive technology to keep cauldrons of molten lipsticks liquid and creamy, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick comfortably coats lips in bursts of intense, high-impact, super rich, saturated color that lasts for hours.

Too Faced Co-Founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino had never seen lipstick more beautiful, intense, rich and glossy than when it’s in its melted form in the cosmetic labs. With this inspiration, we created a lipstick liquified so it doesn’t lose its pigment or shine while keeping a comfortable, flexible and cushiony wear.
A precision tip applicator eliminates the need for a lip liner, making this formula easier to apply.
Contains NO Parabens, Sulfates or Phthalates. Too Faced is Cruelty-Free.

Top to Bottom: Light to heavy application. The color can be built up or sheered out with ease.
Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dicalcium Phosphate Stearalkonium Bentonite, Silica Silylate, Propylene Carbonate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Aroma/Flavor, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate. May Contain/Peut Contenir (+/-): Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 6 (CI 15850), Yellow 6 Lake (CI 15985), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
Overall Assessment: I love Melted Sugar and definitely need more shades of Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks in my life!

  1. That's a gorgeous shade, Helen! I'll bet it looks great on you. I tried Peony last year, but my finicky dry lips couldn't handle it so it sits in a box, boo hoo. I was surprised that it didn't work out for me because there's no peppermint oil in it. There must be another ingredient in it that doesn't work with my lip but I don't know what it is!

    1. I'm very happy with this shade– it fits right into my nude pinky peach obsession! What a bummer that it was drying on your lips! Did you try it on top of a heavy duty nourishing balm? Peony is so pretty! I know that peppermint oil is a no-go for you, but as you said this doesn't contain it. I wonder if it was the "Aroma/Flavor" that bugged your lips.

  2. I love the color! Not too dark, not too light. I'll have to look for it when I need a new shade.

  3. The regular Melted's are so pretty, but very drying to me. I recently tried one of the Melted Metals and I like it much better :)

    1. Interesting tha you find them drying. Allison had the same problem as well. For some reason this isn't at all drying on my lips. I only swatches their Metals, but haven't tried them on ky lips yet.
