Sunday Sun Day Volume XXXII: A Sun Goddess without the Sun with Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask

Since sunbathing has become public enemy number 1, by those who seek to preserve youthful skin, and who want to avoid skin cancer, there has been a profusion of self-tanning products to hit the market. Whether in spray, gel, mousse, lotion or cream form, they promise to make you a sun goddess sans le soleil. The most interesting self-tanner to come across my desk is Vita Liberata's Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask because it is less of a traditional self-tanner, and more of a moisturizing mask that just so happens to impart a golden glow. Better yet, it is an antioxidant rich anti-aging ultra hydrating moisture mask that plumps fine lines and leaves skin luminous and radiant. After a few days of use I noticed that my skin had a beautiful sun-kissed natural glow rather than the obvious appearance of a faux tan.

A few things to note, the effects are more gradual and natural– so it will take several days before you begin to notice a difference. I should also note that it did not stain up my pillow or sheets, and is very easy to use. It looks and feels like a luscious hydrating lotion without any pigmentation, and you simply apply it to your face, neck and décolleté after you wash your face– then go to bed. That's it!

From Vita Liberata:

HyH2O™technology delivers a stunning natural glow by morning, along with intense hydration, overnight rejuvenation and anti age benefits, all in a rich and silky formulation that will leave skin feeling plump, soft and supple with a youthful, balanced radiance everyday. 2. I'm super impatient, so gradual color usually doesn't work for me. I do like hearing that it's natural looking though!

  4. What a cool idea! I haven't tried that brand, though I've heard such good things about it, but I have a one day natural looking tanner. I need to see if I can use it on my face. I don't want to have to buy all new foundations, lol

    1. It really is a cool product, and so different from anything else that I have seen before. I know what you mean about not wanting to buy all new foundations to accommodate a faux tan!

  5. My blog partner Lisa loves Vita Liberata so when I get asked for self tanning recommendations that's what I tell people. This sounds like something maybe I could even use.

    1. This is definitely a really nice self-tanner! I know what you mean about wanting to lay out in the sun– it just feels so nice against the skin, but the downside just isn't worth it!

    1. I know! This one definitely doesn't oxidize orange! It is a whole different type of product, but it works gradually and the results look more natural.
