Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sky Line Pink 025 | Comparison Swatches and Review

Purchased by me (Affiliate Links)

The moment that my friend pulled Sky Line Pink out of her bag and twisted up the tube I was utterly smitten. It seemed so oddly familiar, and it was so tantalizingly beautiful. When she put it on I felt gleeful, and when she said that it was Revlon I was thrilled that I could buy it easily and affordably. Sky Line Pink is an absolutely fetching pale blue-based pink with a stunning pearl finish, and it has quickly become one of my favorite lipsticks!
According to Revlon,

For seven decades, women everywhere have indulged in the bold, luxurious shades of our most iconic lipstick. Super Lustrous™ creates unforgettably seductive lip color in four finishes — crème, matte, pearl, and shine — and is available in 82 vibrant shades. The legacy lives on.
  • LiquiSilk™ formula seals in color and softness
  • Dazzling array of fabulous, fashionable shades
  • Available in four finishes: crème, matte, pearl, and shine
Pale Pink Paradise:
Left to Right: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sky Line Pink (Pearl formula), Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in Star and Tom Ford Lip Lacquer in Pink Lust.
As soon as I opened my pristine tube of this twinkling beauty, I realized why it was so familiar, and why my reaction was so visceral-- it was reminiscent of two of my most beloved and coveted limited edition lip glosses: Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in Star and Tom Ford Lip Lacquer in Pink Lust. While Sky Line Pink is gorgeous all by itself, it is even more lovely when topped by a lip gloss, and both Star and Pink Lust are perfect accompaniments to this gorgeous lipstick. That said, since neither Star, nor Pink Lust are still available I found that Revlon's Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting is a affordable substitute.

Despite the fact that Sky Line Pink has a pearl-rich finish it does not possess the uncomfortable gritty texture often associated with pearlier and frostier finishes. It is comfortable on the lips with a nice amount of cushion, and I find it neither moisturizing nor drying. It isn't the longest lasting lipstick, but I do get about an hour of wear-time before it begins to fade. That said, while trace amounts of shimmer are left behind it does not migrate all over the place. Furthermore, there is no discernible fragrance or taste that is off-putting.
Sky Line Pink is a cool icy pale pink with glimmering pearl.
It's pure magic the way that Sky Line Pink captures the light!

  1. I love seeing swatches of non-fragranced drugstore lipsticks since there's no other way to tell. Yea for the pinky nude.

    1. Hi Marcia! <3 I actually thought of you when I started testing this out, and thought that this might be to your liking-- especially since it isn't fragrant! I'm so happy with this shade that I am reaching for it more than my TF lipsticks at the moment!
