Le Couvent des Minimes 3 in 1 Micellar Water: A Rose Revelation! Review

I love the versatility of Micellar Water, and in my opinion this is one of the greatest beauty discoveries in decades! I tend to use them at night to remove makeup, or to cleanse my skin when I am too tired to do my face washing routine. I also love to use them to refresh the skin after exercising or for a little pick-me-up when the weather is warm.  My new favorite Micellar Water is Le Couvent des Minimes 3 in 1 Micellar Water-- in fact I would go so far as to say that I am utterly obsessed with this product! It has the intoxicating scent of the most lovely roses imaginable. It removes everything, and does so gently and effectively. However, the biggest surprise was seeing and feeling how soft, supple and moisturized it left my skin. Additionally, it also serves as a fantastic alcohol-free toner that can be used in conjunction with one's regular skincare routine, and I find myself reaching for it in this capacity on a daily basis.

According to Le Couvent des Minimes, their 3 in 1 Micellar Water is recommended for those looking for a gentle skincare product with multiple benefits.

Features:
  • Removes make-up from the face, lips and eyes
  • Cleanses the face, lips and eyes
  • Tones the skin
  • Alcohol-free and soap-free formula.
  • Damascena Rose Floral Water refreshes and softens
  • Centifolia Rose Absolute Essence tones.
  • Wild Rose Berry Polyphenol protects against free radicals and restores radiance
  • No rinsing required
  • Perfumed with Rose absolute essence
You can use it alone for its 3-in-1 action, or to complement the Gentle Cleansing Milk or Rinse-off Cleansing Cream as a toner. It provides an immediate sensation of freshness and leaves the skin delicately scented. The skin is left soft and clear while the complexion is fresh and luminous. You can also use it solely as a toner after cleansing and removing makeup from the skin.

Apply with a cotton pad to remove make-up and cleanse the face, lips and eyes. Reapply until the cotton pad comes away clean. Gently dry.

    1. Hi MITCH, I love the packaging as well, but the contents are even better than that! The smell is just divine! :-)

  2. oh, dear, that does sound absolutely divine! i love micellar waters and find them so much more refreshing and thorough than any makeup remover wipe. i know by the ingredients that i cannot use that particular one on my face, although i am tempted to purchase anyway for quick body cleansing. i am finishing up a very generous sample (from some sample box) of the Koh Gen Do which is lovely and am currently debating between purchasing that (only when i am finished) or the more economical and super skin friendly one from La Roche Posay.

have you ever tried the bioderma by chance, helen? if so, what were your thoughts?

    1. It is really scrumptious, too bad there is an ingredient that you can't use on your face. It definitely would do a nice job for quick body cleansing as well-- great idea, actually! I still haven't tried the Bioderma, and have been meaning to for years! It's definitely on my list of things to try. I love the Koh Gen Do Spa Water and wipes, and currently have both in rotation. I have used the one from La Roche Posay as well, and liked it-- but I do personally prefer the one by Koh Gen Do. Both are lovely, though. I would get the one that you like the best. You can always pick up the Koh Gen Do at the next Sephora VIB sales event so that you can save some money on it! That said, if you love the La Roche Posay and it works well with your skin-- then maybe just get that one :-)

  3. you know what i'm going to ask now, don't you? :P how does it compare to KGD? sounds like it might be a bit more moisturizing? is cleansing power comparable?

    1. I sure do :-). It is definitely more moisturizing than the KGD. I find that the cleansing ability is just as good, but the scent is just heavenly! That will, of course, make the KGD preferable to those who prefer a fragrance free micellar water-- but Le Couvent has made a truly divine and scrumptious product. In fact, everything that I have tried from the line is utterly amazing.

I still love my KGD and will probably continue buying it as well, but this Le Couvent is just spectacular as far as I'm concerned! I look forward to hearing what you think about it! :D
