Does Armani Now Have Dupes for NARS Gaiety and Tom Ford Narcissist Blushes? SWATCHES & Commentary!

Purchased by Me (Affiliate Links)

After I purchased and reviewed the Tom Ford Cheek Color in Narcissist (here) the last few remaining at Neiman Marcus were picked up by elated readers. However, while many of you did the happy dance with Narcissist-clad cheeks-- there were more of you who sent me sad emails wondering if there were any left to be found. I check with my favorite Tom Ford Sales Associate, Michelle Weinstein (at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills) and to no avail they really were gone. Short of a repromotion in some future collection, Narcissist has become ever more elusive. That said, the new Armani Cheek Fabric Blush in #509 is the closest dupe to Narcissist that I have ever seen. In fact, they are nearly indistinguishable from one another. So those of who missed out on Narcissist can rejoice.

While at the Armani counter, it occurred to me that #507 was quite close to NARS Gaiety (reviewed here). Gaiety is a slightly cooler blue-based pink than is Armani #507, but they are close enough. The texture of the new Armani Cheek Fabric Blushes is nothing short of extraordinary, and are truly worth your consideration. Therefore, rather than mourning Narcissist any longer you might want to pick up #509 instead. As for #507 versus Gaiety, well they are both lovely but you will swoon over the soft creamy texture of #507.
While the new Giorgio Armani blushes boast superb opaque coverage, they can be sheered-out as is evidenced by the swatch below.
These vivid new shades are nothing short of bewitchingly beautiful!
Overall assessment: The new Armani Cheek Fabric Blushes are simply extraordinary, and well worth trying. #509 is precisely what those mourning Tom Ford Narcissist are looking for, and trust me-- you will not be in the least bit disappointment. #507 is the type of blue-based pink that NARS Gaiety enthusiasts will love, but it is a touch softer in its approach to a cool blue-based pink-- making it inherently more wearable to a larger variety of skin tones.

$46.00 each available from Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus & Bloomingdale's. (Affiliate Links)

  1. Eeee I was eyeing 509! Glad to hear it's a good dupe for Narcissist, too! I find the formula extremely lightweight and easy to blend :) Thanks for the heads-up, Helen!

  2. I have 507 & absolutely love it!! The formula is amazing too...think I love it just as much as the Burberry formula!!! It blends out so well & looks like part of my skin!!! Didn't get 509 bc of having narcissist but due to loving the formula I just might need it - along with several other colors I'm sure!!! Xo :-)

    1. Hi Gummy! I have definitely been thinking about getting #507-- I can definitely see why you love it! *509 is pretty magical, though probably not an absolute must have since you have Narcissist-- that said the texture is so amazing that it might ultimately be hard to resist!!!!!!!! I'm so glad that you are so happy with #507! Have a lovely weekend! <3

  4. I am blown away! Have always been impressed by Armani blush textures but disappointed at the frost and lack of pigmentation, but you've bumped 509 to the top of my 'to check out' list.

    1. Hi Kate! If you are blown away by the swatches of #509 just wait until you see and feel it!! It really is extraordinary!! There is no shortage of pigmentation here! These blushes are a whole new frontier for Armani, and while there are some typically muted subdued shades, #507 and #509 are neither muted nor subdued! U can't wait to hear what you think about the new formula and colors! Have a lovely weekend!

  5. You are right, Armani blushes are worth trying out. With these colors, who would not want to try them? They are pretty and seem to blend well with the skin. I will surely check on them.

    1. Hi Jules, I agree completely! The texture of their powder blushes have always been extraordinary in my view, but they had such a limited and muted range of colors before. These new vibrant shades were just what the line needed, and these two colors are just stunning! They blend out beautifully, and build up to maximum opacity. Though #509 hardly needs to be built up! Let me know what you think of them!
