Ellen Lange Retexturizing Skin Peel Kit Review

 Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

That I am obsessed with quality skincare products is more than a little obvious at this point, and one of my great obsessions is exfoliation. Exfoliation, whether via manual scrubs or peels, effectively removes dead skin cells revealing brighter more luminous skin. Furthermore exfoliation allows serums and creams to penetrate the skin unobstructed by surface dead skin cells thereby increasing the efficacy of the products that one uses.

Ellen Lange, a medical esthetician who worked with her father in his plastic surgery practice,  has performed countless skin peels, and this experience eventually led to her creation of a remarkably effective at-home peel.

According to Ellen Lange Skin Science,

Ellen knew that if extremely busy people, like herself, could do professional treatments at home, they would see immediate and long-term results.

Ellen began working with a team of cosmetic chemists. But her "lab" wasn't some distant place where scientists hunched over test tubes, the real "testing" was taking place right there in her medi-spa, where, every day, her clients tried the products for themselves and gave their feedback.
Ellen Lange Retexturizing Skin Peel Kit is an easy to use at-home peel that delivers in-office results, but it does so gently. There is no down-time, and no need to hide because of the molting effect that often happens following peels. Of course this is an over-the-counter peel rather than a medical peel that can only be administered by a medical esthetician or doctor, but it is extraordinarily effective!

The best selling Glycolic skin peel by Ellen Lange is an effective, yet gentle exfoliation treatment that removes dull surface cells to reveal healthy new youthful skin. This best selling face peel kit combines glycolic, micro-beads and enzymes to create an the most effective at home peel. Do the at home peel facial treatment before a big event such as a reunion or wedding. Your skin will look so healthy and your makeup will go so smooth.

Ellen Lange Retexturizing Skin Peel is formulated to:

• Minimize fine lines and wrinkles
• Even skin tone
• Eliminate dry patches
• Minimize pore size
• Control periodic breakouts

The kit includes:
  • Peel Prep (2 oz.) - an enzyme scrub
  • Peel Accelerator Pads (60 pads) - premoistened glycolic peel pads
  • Glycolic Peel Solution (.68 fl. oz.) - the original peel kit solution
  • Dispensing cup
  • Fan brush
This skin peel kit contains product for 8 at home skin peels & two month supply of glycolic pads. This at home chemical peel kit contains 10% Glycolic. 5% in the peel accelerator pads and 4% in the peel solution. The pH of the Glycolic Acid is 3.5-3.7.
Step 1: Cleanse skin and then apply the Peel Prep scrub to a slightly damp face. Then gently massage in a circular motion for between 30-60 seconds. Let it sit on your face for an additional minute to allow the fruit enzymes to dissolve the dislodged dead skin cells. Rinse your skin and pat dry. This scrub contains just the perfect amount of grit to effectively remove surface dead skin cells without irritating the skin. I found it to be quite pleasant and gentle.
Step 2: Gently wipe the Peel Accelerator Pads over the entire face in order to accelerate the exfoliation process. Wait until your dampened skin fully dries and do not rinse face. Incidentally, the Peel Accelerator Pads can be used daily for maintenance between peels! They are remarkably effective, and cause the skin to tingle a bit courtesy of the menthol.
Step 3: Pump a teaspoon amount of product up to the clearly marked line in the measuring cup provided. Dip your brush into the Glycolic Peel Solution and follow the diagram provided to apply it to the skin. After brushing the solution onto your forehead, T-zone, chin and cheeks you will notice a pleasant sensation as the solution begins to foam. After about 3 minutes, use damp finger tips to massage the foam into the skin, and allow it to foam once more. Leave it on your face for another 4-5 minutes, and then rinse. Gently dry your skin and then watch the amazing transformation from dull skin to luminous and gorgeous skin!
My skin was flushed and tingled afterward, but felt renewed and refreshed. I let my skin breathe unobstructed by other products for about 45 minutes, and watched as the my flushed skin gave way to a a pronounced luminosity and clarity. I noticed that my expression lines had softened, that my skin tone was even and radiant, that all of my winter-induced dead skin cells had been removed, that my pores appeared smaller, and most remarkably that my monthly cycle pimples were beginning to retreat. Even more unexpected was waking up the following morning to see that 2 of the 3 pimples had disappeared altogether, and the remaining one was greatly reduced in size and was no longer bright red. Not only does the Retexturizing Peel deliver on its claims, but in my opinion it actually exceeds them. I expected luminous skin and pronounced clarity, but what I didn't expect was for was seeing how quickly my pimples abated! That was nothing short of a skincare miracle in my estimation!
This Glycolic peel does not contain gluten, barley or wheat.

Overall assessment: This peel is astonishingly effective and easy to use. I love it and I will continue to use it to the very last drop! That said, if you have very sensitive skin or allergies to any of the listed ingredients then this product likely won't be a good fit for your skin.
