NARS Andy Warhol Eyeshadow Flowers No. 3 Palette, Shu Uemura Karl for Shu Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in Luxe Burgundy & Guerlain Maxi Shine in La Petite Robe Noire: The Perfect Combination!

Press Samples Courtesy of Izzy's Perfume & Beauty Shoppe (Unaffilated Links)

For years Izzy's Perfume & Beauty Shoppe has been my go-to place for limited edition collections and Europe and Asia exclusives that don't make it into the U.S. marketplace other than by extraordinary means and ridiculous pricing (eBay). I also am unwilling to resort to places like eBay for these items because it's often difficult to know if what you are getting is authentic.

Andy Warhol Eyeshadow Flowers No. 3 Palette was the one that got away from the NARS Andy Warhol Collection from 2012. I swatched it numerous times and was getting ready to buy it, but I waited too long and it slipped away. When I saw that Izzy's Perfume & Beauty Shoppe had it in stock I was thrilled. Mixing the colors together creates on of the most gorgeous and perfect shade of taupe imaginable, and all it needed was a perfect twinkling burgundy lip to finish the look. So I let my imagination run wild, and this is what I dreamed up.

NARS Andy Warhol Eyeshadow Flowers No. 3 Palette features four neutral shades: 1) A gorgeous lavender gray that serves as the background (punctuated by black overspray), a cool white, a shimmering copper brown, and a deep bronzed brown. While they are beautiful individually- it is their mixing that delivers taupe perfection! This palette is finely milled with beautiful pigmentation. It spreads effortlessly along the lid and remains true to color all day long. It's a stunning palette.

A captivating, limited-edition eye shadow palette featuring the art of Andy Warhol. Flowers 3 features white, pink champagne, and dark brown against a shimmering lavender gray background and black overspray.
The Andy Warhol quote, "All is Pretty" is inscribed on the mirror.
Left to right: cool white, a shimmering copper brown, a stunning lavender gray, a deep bronzed brown, and the taupe perfection when all four shades are mixed.
If you seek the perfect taupe, then this palette really delivers.
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire (463) Gloss d'Enfer Maxi Shine: is a stunning mauve pink with gold shimmer. This is a lovely lightweight and non-sticky gloss formula that wears long and performs beautifully. It does, however, smell and taste a bit like violet candies which will make this less-than-ideal for those who dislike scented lip products. I love everything about this gloss. It is gorgeous alone or on top of your favorite lipstick, but it is truly stunning on top of Shu Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in Luxe Burgundy.

Gloss d’Enfer colours and shapes the smile for deceptively innocent, daringly glossy and deliciously provocative lips. Its fine, non-sticky texture glides over the lips like a veil. Composed of mineral and botanical oils, it maintains hydration and keeps the lips soft. Intensely luminous, it guarantees a shimmering, shaping and plumping finish on the lips.
Shu Uemura Karl for Shu Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in Luxe Burgundy (LE Holiday 2012, and only available at Izzy's): This is one stunning Burgundy lipstick! The formula is moisturizing and comfortable on the lips, and the pigmentation is wonderful. The coverage can be built up to nearly full-opacity and it boasts a gorgeous sheen. I get many hours of wear-time, and once the lipstick wears away it does so evenly leaving behind a gorgeous  light stain. There is no detectable taste or smell.

Tint your lips with rich moisture and long lasting comfort. A stylish black box outfits the lipstick package which features the cute mon shu girl character. A key color of the collection, this vivid red may lead you to a kiss under the mistletoe.
Left to Right: La Petite Robe Noire, Luxe Burgundy, and La Petite Robe Noire on top of Luxe Burgundy.
Twinkle twinkle!
I love this combination-- it is easy to wear and offers a very easy polished look.
Overall assessment: LOVE LOVE LOVE!

    1. I am very pleased with the combination! You are so sweet for saying that, but I often lounge about in sweats. I definitely go for comfort over all else when I am working from home (writing lectures, putting together powerpoint presentations, conducting research etc.).

  3. I miss not being able to buy Shu in person. When it was at my closest Nordstrom we became extremely good friends but I haven't bought any since.

    1. Hi Kate <3

Yes, one can certainly get into lots of trouble on the Izzy's website! YES, they sell testers from many of the brands! It's hard to believe that they actually have the Tokyo Lights palette! Sorry for being a temptress! :-)

    1. Hi Chia-Yi, I agree this palette is truly stunning! The hardest thing for me to do was to swirl all of the colors together in order to create that stunning taupe! That said, using this palette is such a great joy! If you get it, I am sure that you will covet it! Keep me posted! :D

    1. Hi Beth! You and me both-- this is by far my very favorite NARS Eyeshadow! It is so gorgeous, and the taupe that is created by mixing the shades is just stunning! I don't have New Attitude, but it is a gorgeous shade! I love pinks as well, and my stash of pink blushes has gotten out of hand since that is by far my favorite shade! :D
