Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Sticks in Coquette and Garçonne Review & Swatches

Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Sticks in Coquette and Garçonne are two new limited edition shades, and let me just say that I really hope that they are made permanent. Both shades offer impressive opaque color payoff, and the wonderful formula is actually hydrating. Both shades glide across the skin effortlessly, deposit color evenly and they do not emphasize, or settle into, pores or expression lines. This is a true multipurpose formula that can be used on the cheeks, lips and eyelids. Both Coquette and Garçonne are exceptionally flattering on the lips and the cheeks, and I actually like to blend the two shades together. In fact, one can mix any of the Baby Cheeks Blush Sticks to customize your shades.

Coquette, which is described as a Bright Pinky Peach, is a very nice peachy pink shade that is incredibly flattering on my cool-toned light olive complexion. I was concerned that it would be too warm for my skin tone, but it is a good balance between the warmer peachy and the cooler pink shades. Garçonne, which is described as a Just Pinched Mauve, is a bit of a chameleon. In the tube it is a rather brownish mauve, but does it ever come to life on the cheeks and lips. It is a triumphant shade in its beauty, and I really love to wear it, and to blend with Coquette.

Westman Atelier Eye Love You Clean Kôhl Eyeliner Pencil in Noir

Westman Atelier Eye Love You Clean Kôhl Eyeliner Pencil in Noir is a rich black Kôhl Eyeliner Pencil that is creamy to the touch. It is ultra-pigmented and it glides across the skin effortlessly and deposits color evenly without tugging the delicate skin around the eyes. To avoid any transfer, and to really lock the liner in place, Gucci Westman asserts, "My favorite trick for avoiding transfer is to apply pencil right into the lashes on the upper lid. You can even dust the eyelids and brow bone with a touch of translucent pressed powder to really lock it in place." I often tend to line close to the upper and lower lashes, and then set it with a powder eyeshadow in the same shade as the liner. This formula is waterline safe, and I should note that my sensitive eyes have no negative reaction to this formula. I definitely want to buy their brown eyeliner pencil next.

Our brown pencil has the absolute perfect balance of terracotta and chocolate tones for a warm, natural look. Westman Atelier The Summer Bronze Trio Review & Swatches

I was thrilled to see numerous Westman Atelier Nordstrom Anniversary Sale exclusive sets, and I purchased the Westman Atelier The Summer Bronze Trio immediately. It consists of the following full-size products: Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in Dou Dou, Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick in Nectar and Westman Atelier Liquid Super Loaded Sheer Illuminator Drops in Peau de Soleil. The three products together are the perfect way to have a sun-kissed glow that is fuss-free and easy to apply. I purchased the set because I really wanted all three of the products, but also because of the value pricing (Price: $115.00. Value: $154.00). The set is still available at Nordstrom, and it is still at the value pricing, but I have listed the prices and where to buy the individual products if the whole set doesn't appeal to you.

This does not have a glitter-filled disco-ball effect, but instead an stunning luminosity.

Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in Dou Dou ($48.00 0.21 oz. and $26.00 for .09 oz. from Nordstrom, Sephora, Westman Atelier, Violet Grey and Credo Beauty): This blush is developed to offer, "a healthy flush of color in just one swipe. Hydrating, natural finish." Dou Dou is a stunning warm rose that can be used on the cheeks, lips and eyelids, and if you are seeking a stunning monochromatic look, this shade really delivers. It boasts buildable opaque coverage, it glides across the skin effortlessly, deposits color evenly and it offers hydration to the skin. This is a lovely,  shade that is a dream to use.

Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick in Nectar ($48,00 for 0.17 oz. and $26.00 for .09 oz. from Nordstrom, Sephora, Westman Atelier, Violet Grey and Credo Beauty): This is a, "multitasking gel highlighter for facial-fresh clarity. Glassy finish." The formula, which comes in a stick form, and is a translucent gel highlighter that gives skin a gorgeous ethereal glow and makes skin look fresh and dewy without a greasy residue. In fact, the skin-loving ingredients hydrate the skin. Nectar is described as a, "glassy golden peach" that is absolutely gorgeous and flattering on the skin. This highlighting stick can be used on the cheeks, the bridge of the nose, the cupid's bow, the lips and eyelids.

Westman Atelier launched two Limited Edition Baby Cheeks shades in Coquette and Garçonne, and they are gorgeous! I bought both of them, and will review and swatch them soon, but in the meantime here is some information about Baby Cheeks, and the two new shades.

Westman Atelier Skultuna Guld Kuppen Makeup Brush Cup Review

When Westman Atelier announced their 50% Off Warehouse Sale, I quickly put together a post to alert you, and then as soon as I did that I went back to their website to plot my purchases. Initially I had no intention of shopping their sale, but after obsessively visiting and revisiting their offerings, I couldn't help but purchase pieces from the Westman Atelier and Skultuna collaboration. I purchase the Westman Atelier Skultuna Guld Kuppen Makeup Brush Cup and the Westman Atelier Skultuna Guld Plattan Vanity Tray (shown below, and the review is forthcoming).

Skultuna, which is more than 400 years old, is a Swedish luxury brand known for their impeccable brasswork. Their products are luxurious, they demonstrate extraordinary craftsmanship, and they are a true pleasure to behold and use!

Skultuna was founded by King Karl IX in the year 1607 and then as well as now, timeless design of the highest quality is the essence of the company. All Skultuna items are made for the ages, with the quality to be more beautiful for every day and generation that uses, wears and loves them.

The year was 1607, and King Karl IX could at last implement his long held plans for a Swedish brass industry. Refining copper into brass would reduce imports of brass and increase income from exports. The King had a man sent off on the Crown's business to find a suitable location for a brass foundry, the choice fell on Skultuna, where the Svartån brook provided sufficient water power. Today, over four centuries later, the company still resides in the very same place in Skultuna. The first master braziers were called here from the brass foundries in Germany and the Netherlands, they also brought the technique on how to make large brass objects like chandeliers. The oldest known chandelier is in the Church of Our Lady in Enköping and is dated 1619. The journey throughout history has been rough at times, once the whole factory floated away with the spring flood and it has burnt down completely on at least three occasions.

In the 15th and 16th century, the design work was part of the craftsmanship. At the end of 17th century, processes and work methods were standardized. This was the foundation of what we today call industrial design. Carl Hjalmar Norrström was a designer at the Skultuna Brass Foundry between the years 1895-1912. Norrström belonged to the most recognized designers at that time and was granted many awards for his creations. Carl Hjalmar won the Gold medal at the World Expo in Paris during the year 1900 for his magnificent baptizing font that can still be seen at the museum in Skultuna. Modernism came to Skultuna in the 1950s in the shape of the silversmith Pierre Forssell. He contributed with some fabulous products during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. His designs are very much characterized as Scandinavian: strict and contemporary in style. Another famous designer that designed products for Skultuna in the 1980s is Sigvard Bernadotte. He designed a series of products for the dining table.

Today, Skultuna collaborates with leading international designers and Skultuna products can be found in leading department stores all around the world and the company has won a number of international design awards. Skultuna today has five brand stores in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Skultuna. At the same time, production in the factory at the factory continues in an unbroken tradition, today mainly in the form of final processing such as polishing, grinding, assembly, engraving and packaging. Today, the factory is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sweden where you can visit the Skultuna Flagship store, Service Desk, Museum, Outlet store and the Bistro.

Westman Atelier Skultuna Guld Kuppen Makeup Brush Cup is such a luxurious way to store makeup brushes, eye and lip liners, mascaras and anything else that is tall and requires vertical storage. This gorgeous cup is made from solid brass that is polished to a bright mirror finish. It is hefty, but elegant, and it boasts the perfect proportions. It stands about 3 1/2" high and about 2 3/4" wide, and therefore it perfectly accommodates a full set of the Westman Atelier makeup brushes, but as you can see below, I also store many of my Hourglass makeup brushes in a Guld Kuppen as well. The cup and tray are so elegant and gorgeous that simply having them elevates my makeup application experience! What a true joy to behold such gorgeous craftsmanship!

Overall Assessment: This was such a worthwhile purchase, and I will now always keep a close eye on the Westman Atelier Warehouse Sales! A+

As you have probably already figured out, I am a big fan of Westman Atelier makeup and brushes, and I have been steadily collecting from this cruelty-free luxury brand. Over the last couple of years I have collected all of their beautiful makeup brushes, and numerous bits of makeup, and when Gucci Westman announced her collaboration with Skultuna, I was immediately interested and intrigued. Skultuna is a 400 year old Swedish luxury brand known for their truly extraordinary brasswork, and the collaboration between these two luxury brands is quite amazing. 

During the Westman Atelier 50% Off Warehouse Sale (that I announced HERE), I was thrilled to see that the Guld Plattan Vanity Tray and Guld Kuppen Makeup Brush Cup.

Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick in Lit Review and Swatches

Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick in Lit is a glassy and clear iridescent highlighter with a stunning multicolored, and pink-leaning, sheen that imparts a gorgeous ethereal glow to the skin without harsh glitter. This solid gel highlighter still can be used anywhere on the face that you want to be luminous, but it can also be used on the lips, in the cupid's bow, the corners of the eyes and on the collar bones.
