Wantable September Beauty Box: Yet Another Exquisite Month of Goodies!

In fact, of all of the beauty boxes out there- I would have to say that Wantable ranks at the very top! Each box is valued between $80 and $100 and includes expert application tips and tricks.

This month I received another wonderful selection from Wantable. Here is a breakdown of what I received:

1) 29 Cosmetics Reserves Grape Seed Age Protecting Moisturizing Lipstick SPF 20 in Ripe Rosé ($25.00 retail): Ripe Rosé is described as a Shimmery Rose Berry. It is a stunning rose with golden shimmer, and it is very comfortable on the lips. I like it so much that I want a few other colors! (Full-size product)

No one will ever guess that behind that beautiful, saturated color you are moisturizing and protecting your lips. Long-lasting grape seed anti-oxidant enriched moisturizing lipstick with SPF 20 nourishes and protects the lips from environmental pollutants and the harmful effects of free radicals. Helps the lips appear smooth and moisturized while visibly easing the signs of aging. Apply evenly to lips for a customized look.

2) Lise Watier Ombre Soufflé Supreme in Sunrise Peach (an iridescent peach) and Vert Enchanté (a silvered green): This was a sample card with no assigned dollar value, but the full sized cream eyeshadows are $24.00 each. The are long-wearing with a soft and fluffy texture, and are utterly gorgeous shimmering eyeshadows. (Sample size)

Accompanying the liner is a self-dispensing eye shadow created to complement the liner color. All combinations are subtle enough for every day, yet they can be layered for those dramatic "evening eyes." This is a stunning dual-sided liner shadow. Jasper us a gorgeous Olive green liner and Sandstone is a sparkling Champaign. They are long-wearing and gorgeously shimmering shades. (Full-size product)

4) Cailyn Eye Primer ($15.00 retail): Cailyn Eye Primer is an ultra-sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with the wave of a wand and then disappears instantly. It's the ultimate eye prep for smoother, longer-lasting, crease-proof eyeshadow. Apply with fingertip to the entire eye area before makeup. This is a very nice light and sheer eyeshadow primer that makes your eyeshadows budge-proof, crease-proof and fade-proof. (Full-size product)

5) Manna Kadar Cosmetics Trans-Fix Eyeshadow-Eyeliner Transformer ($19.00 retail): Transform any of your eyeshadows into a smudge proof liquid liner. Simply dip Transfix into any eyeshadow and rim your eyes for the perfect eyeliner. This is a brilliant product! It looks like a liquid eyeliner, but the liquid itself is clear. All you do is dip it into your favorite eyeshadow and la voilà- you have a gorgeous new liquid liner! Overall assessment: This is how subscription beauty boxes should be done! It's a fantastic value for four full-sized products valued at $85.00. Additionally, it isn't hit and miss as is so often the case with beauty boxes because of Wantable's detailed questionnaire that assures you that your box is tailored to your needs and preferences. If you don't like nail polishes, for instance, you will never find one them in your box. This is also a great way to be introduced to fantastic quality products that you might not have easy access to in your area- making this an affordable way to try new things. A+ yet again!

While I'm not the Beauty Box Subscription Queen like my good friend Marcia, I do recognize an extraordinary Beauty Box when I see one. Three Custom Color Brow Powder #6: A very high quality and long-wearing brow powder.

According to Three Custom Color,
We all know what a difference a perfectly groomed brow can make. Our collection of six brow powder shades will blend beautifully with your natural hair color. A great alternative to waxy brow pencil and multi-funcitonal - they also make great cake eye liners or matte eye shadows.

FACE Stockholm Blush Willing: A gorgeous and buildable rose colored powder blush (shimmer flush finish) that is very finely milled and creamy to the touch. I am getting lots of wear from this beauty.

FACE Stockholm Cream Highlighter Sympathy: A lovely golden highlighter that can be sheered out or built up. It is soft and creamy, and melts into the skin leaving behind a gorgeous dewy glow.

Lise Watier Haute Couleur High Coverage Lip Lacquer Fashionista: What a stunning peachy pink lip gloss! The color saturation is amazing, the color is gorgeous, and the wear-time is fantastic. It has a light fruity scent that quickly dissipates and it isn't at all sticky.

According to Lise Watier,

Color Club Metallic Nail Polish Antiquated: This polish is just so gorgeous! Color Club calls it "a throw-back champagne shade" to which I would add that it is complex and rich. The color modulates in varied lighting making it all the more interesting and beautiful.

Apothederm Firming Serum is an anti-aging serum. According to Apothederm,

This luxurious serum hydrates and protects your skin while reducing visible signs of aging. Overall assessment: This is how subscription beauty boxes should be done! It's a fantastic value for so many full-sized products in a single box. Additionally, it isn't hit and miss as is so often the case with beauty boxes. Wantable's detailed questionnaire assures you that your box is tailored to your needs and preferences. If you don't use highlighters, for instance, you will never find one in your box. This is also a great way to be introduced to fantastic quality products that you might not have easy access to in your area- making this an affordable way to try new things. A+

Wantable Beauty Box Review

Wantable is a new Premium Makeup Box Subscription service (they also have one for jewelry) that offers a variety of customizable choices of products that are specifically tailored to suit your taste and style. You are asked a series of questions in an online survey about your stylistic preferences, and after gathering a fair amount of information the computer categorizes your specific style, and then generates a selection of products based upon  your answers. The nice thing is that you can change their selections for those that better suit your taste. You can either subscribe to monthly service at $36.00 a month, or you can buy one box at a time at $40.00 each. The retail value of each Beauty Box is set between $80.00-$100.00- making each box a good value- provided that you are pleased with the contents.

My box included: 

1) MyFace Cosmetics High Definition Lip Pencil in Rose Bud (retail $16.00): "Myface high def lip pencils flatter fair skin and blend perfectly with the myface lip glosses and lipsticks. These pencils have a very unique matte texture, similar to skin, so there is never an obvious line. Most pencils have a shiny or glossy finish that makes it obvious if you have drawn beyond your natural lip shape."

2) MyFace Cosmetics Lip Pop Gloss in Hot Stuff (retail $18.00): "A warm, muted rosy pink that is a perfect pairing for modern nude lips. myface lip pop gloss creates the perfect paparazzi pout for medium skin – never sticky, but luxurious with chic shine. Apply over your fave lipstick or on nude lips for a lightweight, non-sticky veil of iridescent shine"

3) MiA BelleZZa Mineral Pressed Blush in Natural (retail $16.50): "Beautiful Satin Pressed Blushes. Create a beautiful cheeky healthy glow with this amazing blush. Satin pressed long wearing formula will float over your skin with ease, no need for harsh blending. With skin soothing Vitamins A, C & E. Talc free, Fragrance free, specially formulated for sensitive skin. Brush over cheekbones for desired highlighting effect." This blush imparts, "an amazing matte finish with a pearlized glow. Deflects light away from skin imperfections. Provides a beautiful soft radiant glow."

4) MiA BelleZZa Mineral Shadow Duo in Vino (retail $24.50): "Beautiful Mineral Duos. High drama color. You can use them wet or dry for a rich luster or sheen for dramatic effects.Amazing long-lasting color that never fades or creases. Fortified with vitamins. Use wet or dry to achieve the desired look. Blend with together with other formulas of shadows to achieve creative dramatic looks. Hypoallergenic, Crease Resistant, Mineral oil free Contains: Vitamins C & E to condition and protect eyelids."

5) Color Club In True Fashion Polish By Design (retail $8.00): Color Club offers safe fun shades of high quality nail polish. "...Every nail polish is developed to be completely non-toxic, environmentally safe, and 4-FREE. This means absolutely none of our products contain harsh chemicals like toluene, formaldehyde, camphor and DBP! Plus, they're all vegan nail polishes and never tested on animals." By Design is described as, "A fashionable shade of purple made to go perfectly with your favorite designer duds."

6) Color Club Back to Boho Polish Nomadic in Nude (retail $8.00): Color Club offers safe fun shades of high quality nail polish. "...Every nail polish is developed to be completely non-toxic, environmentally safe, and 4-FREE. This means absolutely none of our products contain harsh chemicals like toluene, formaldehyde, camphor and DBP! Plus, they're all vegan nail polishes and never tested on animals." Color Club calls Nomadic in Nude as a pink nail polish, but it is a nude beige to my eyes.

7) Kai Perfume Oil sample (retail value .70): "An intoxicating blend of gardenia wrapped in white exotics." My favorite scent!! Reviewed here.

The grand retail total of my box is $91.70- making it a good value for the price of the box. All of the products that I received were full-sized with the exception of the Kai Perfume Oil sample.

Overall assessment: I really like the quality of all of the products that I received in my box, and was impressed that I was able to customize my choices. This ability to customize is a much needed antidote to all of the beauty box services that send you so many sample sizes as well as so many products that you never would have selected for yourself, and probably won't ever use. This is a wonderful way to try out new products for a fraction of their regular retail price. What's more, the customer service at Wantable is outstanding-- making the entire experience good from beginning to end. This is a beauty box service well worth trying!
