If you like travel, whether by car, train, plane or boat, you probably have, or need, a good travel bag for your makeup and/or toiletries. I was recently introduced to the vegan brand, Milo and Mimi, and I am really inspired by their cosmetic bag!

Milo and Mimi The Cosmetic Bag in Rose is as practical as it is beautiful! This vegan leather bag, which is available in black or rose, has two large compartments, each with a separate open pouch and united by a single zip compartment. What is so ingenious about this design is the diagonal placement of the exterior zipper. This seemingly novel design choice has a very practical utilitarian function in that it allows you to open the bag very wide while it sits flat. This enables you to see the contents of your bag with ease, and without the frustration of having to dig around to locate everything that you are looking for. It is made of soft and supple vegan leather, and it has a handle on top for added convenience.

The zipper is diagonal along the sides, and therefore the cosmetic bag fully opens and stays flat. This makes it a very practical bag since you can easily see everything inside. This is so ingenious since you don't have to dig through a cavernous bag trying to find what you are looking for.

Overall Assessment: I already have mine filled up and ready to go! I had to triple check the price, but it really is only $15.00!

The pop-up boxes, and the mirror, collapse flat so that they take up minimal space while traveling.

Luxie Classy Travel Bag

That I travel a lot is a bit of an understatement, and therefore travel essentials are subject to constant editing and refining. Among my favorite things to discover are new, and new-to-me, cosmetic bags to help streamline what I carry with me on overnight trips. My most recent acquisition is the Luxie Classy Travel Bag, and I am so happy with it.

The Luxie Classy Travel Bag, which measures a generous 10 ¼"W x 8 ¾"H x ¼"D, is a stunning dusty rose vegan leather bag with chic rose gold hardware. It really fits a remarkable amount, and as you can see I selected numerous large products to underscore the extent to which one can fill this bag. It is easy to clean with warm soapy water, and is a really convenient travel companion.

Note its size when compared to my 15" laptop computer!

The Covet-Worthy Hold Me Makeup Bag

Finding the perfect travel bag for your makeup is difficult, and if you travel a lot you know the necessity of effective and efficient storage for your makeup. When I travel by plane, I tend to streamline my picks and prefer minimal makeup and skincare in deluxe samples. When I make short distance trips by car, which I do quite often, I carry more given that I am not beholden to TSA compliant sizes. A few years ago, I  became obsessed with the gorgeous handmade Hold Me Bag– Just Julie, and I have used their bags for travel ever since.

The Hold Me Bag - Just Julie is a stunning handmade makeup bag that features a soft black plush, and ultra-luxe, velvet exterior and an interior that is punctuated by a waterproof interior liner. The interior pattern is a gorgeous light blue that is embellished by white quatrefoil patterns.

On the far right there is a graciously appointed section for makeup brushes with individually stitched sections to separate and protect each brush. It also includes a flap that folds over to add another layer of protection to all of the brushes.

In the center there is a very large expandable zipper compartment that has enough space for lots and lots of makeup.  In fact, it is large enough to store plenty of your favorite palettes.

At the far left there is a flap with a long cord to wind around to close, secure and protect the entire makeup bag. It includes a large interior pocket that enables you to store lots of additional products.

While this is a perfect travel companion, it can likewise be used for at-home storage for your most reached-for makeup and brushes, and it is beautiful enough to leave out on your vanity!
