In an effort to streamline all of my eyeshadows and blushes, I purchased quite a few Z-Palettes, and then endeavored to depot of huge pile of makeup. While I like all of my Z-Palettes a lot, I have long sought something a bit more substantial (especially for travel). Therefore, from the moment that I opened the M·Y·O Cosmetic Clutch, I was smitten.

The M·Y·O Cosmetic Clutch, which is made in Canada, is constructed from recycled materials, and is 100% cruelty-free. The company is very committed to sustainability, and to reducing their carbon footprint, and in fact they have partnered with the World Tree’s Carbon Offset Program to achieve this goal. The palette itself is very high quality, and is made from dense, heavy duty recycled plastics. It is smooth, sleek and it closes with a very satisfying click. I was able to fit two 6-pan Viseart palettes and two Nars single shadows in the M·Y·O Cosmetic Clutch– with room to spare. The corners of the palette are slightly rounded, and therefore the closer that you place squared-off pans to the corner, the less uniform the fit. However, this is not a design flaw, and I didn't find it in the least bit problematic. In fact, the slightly rounded edges create a wonderful snug fit for brushes, eye liners and lip liners.

The palette includes three beauty pods, which are little lidded containers that can be used for creams, lotions, powders, depotted lipsticks, loose eyeshadows, or whatever you want to carry in your palette. It also includes two Style Sticks that can be used to separate brushes, liners, or whatever you wish to separate from your makeup. They also include a double-ended cruelty-free shadow/brow brush, and it is the perfect size for the palette. Finally, each palette includes one M·Y·O Cosmetic Circlet, which is a tight-fitting gasket that ensures a very snug, leak-free seal, and it is available in your choice of the following colors: black, silver, fuchsia or turquoise (mine is black). Additionally, the M·Y·O (Makeup Your Own) Cosmetic Clutch includes a large full size mirror in the lid of the palette that is very useful for makeup application and touch-ups.

Overall Assessment: I am thoroughly impressed by the quality, efficacy and utility of this palette, and it is the perfect size for travel, but is also perfect for home use as well. I plan to collect a few more of these to accommodate more of my shadows that are about to be depotted. A+
