Rakuten Affiliate Network 2016 Bonus Box Unveiling & Review | #RANBonusBox #RakutenAffiliateNetwork

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

I am so thrilled to have been among the 50 bloggers selected to receive the Rakuten Affiliate Network's 2016 Bonus Box! If you have seen their boxes before, then you realize that they are absolutely amazing, and I am so excited to share these outstanding goodies from some of their top affiliate brands! If this is the first time you’re hearing about Bonus Box by Rakuten Affiliate Network, it is a fantastic affiliate network that works with companies and online publishers, and from whom publishers use affiliate links.
Box Contents:
TOPSHOP Smokey Eye Palette in Enigma ($22.00 from TOPSHOP): Enigma is a stunning neutral palette that features 4 finely milled shadows that are smooth and gorgeous. They glide across the skin effortlessly, deposit color evenly and the shades are infinitely flattering.
According to TOPSHOP,

Everything you need to create the perfect brown smokey eye. The palette includes four complementary colours, complete with an applicator, mirror and a handy step-by-step how-to guide.
Pony Effect Stay Fit Matte Lip Color #SoGood ($18.00 for 4.6 g.from MEMEBOX): I don't wear too many matte lipsticks because my lips dry out easily. #SoGood is a gorgeous, deep berry pink, and while I find it neither drying, nor moisturizing– I do prefer to wear it on top of a lip balm. The wear-time is quite impressive, and I find it transfer proof. I experience at least 5 hours of wear time, and when it fades– it does so evenly. If you are a fan of matte lipsticks, then this is a definite must-try!

According to Pony Effect,

Go mad over matte without drying out! There's no chapping or cracking with these silky colors, which is why it's our go-to for a bold lip!

This matte lip color from Pony Effect delivers intense, opaque color without sucking all the moisture outta your lips, thanks to its nourishing formula of Murumuru Seed Butter and Brazil Nut Seed Oil. Creamy in texture, it glides on smoothly and sets to a long-lasting matte finish that stays put with minimal smudging so you can sip, slurp, and smack away!

Ingredients: Isododecane, Octyldodecanol, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Tricalcium Phosphate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Diisostearyl Malate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Silica, Polybutene, Silica Silylate, Red 33 Lake (CI 17200), Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Polyethylene, Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Propylene Carbonate, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil, Cereus Grandiflorus (Cactus) Flower Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Flower Extract, Methyl Hydrogenated Rosinate, Sorbitan Isostearate, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Tocopheryl Acetate, Water, Butylene Glycol, Methicone, Dehydroacetic Acid, Fragrance(Parfum), Iron Oxides (CI 77499).
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss in Nomad ($11.99 from Rakuten): Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics makes such gorgeous lipsticks, and their Stained Glosses are also absolutely stunning. OCC's Stained Gloss in Nomad is described as a "gold-laced maroon" shade, and it has a stunning pearly sheen and luminosity. It is very, very concentrated– therefore only the tiniest amount is needed for the greatest efficacy. It can be worn alone, or over an OCC Lip Tar for added depth. The finish is gorgeous and glossy, and I do not find it in the least bit drying on the lips. It actually looks gorgeous on top of Pony Effect Stay Fit Matte Lip Color #SoGood!

According to OCC,

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics OCC Stained Gloss, Nomad Stained Gloss combines the pigment potency of a Lip Tar with a casual glossy finish that is ready-to-wear from its first slick application to the high impact stain it leaves behind. It can be worn alone or layered over your favorite existing lip tar shade for added depth, dimension and a long lasting glossy finish. It's highly pigmented so a little goes a long way.
Left to Right: Pony Effect Stay Fit Matte Lip Color in #SoGood, OCC Stained Gloss in Nomad and TOPSHOP Smokey Eye Palette in Enigma.

Once I finish testing the cream that I am currently using, I will give this a try to see the extent to which it moisturizes my skin.

According to Nooni,

Dupe Alert! Burberry Lip Glow in Pink Sweet Pea, OCC Pretty Boy & Le Métier de Beauté Mum's the Word! Swatches!

From the moment that I saw the gorgeous Burberry Lip Glow in Pink Sweet Pea (LE) (reviewed here) I had a nagging feeling that I had a similarly bright and gorgeous fuchsia in my stash of lip products. Then it dawned on me that OCC Lip Tar in Pretty Boy (reviewed here) might be a dupe. It also occurred to me that the Le Métier de Beauté Lip Crème Gloss in Mums the Word (LE) (reviewed here) might be a much more tame cousin.
Well, as you can see, my initial assumptions turned out to be correct. Pink Sweet Pea and Pretty Boy are basically the same shade- though the multi-colored pearl in Pink Sweet Pea gives it added dimension. Certainly OCC Lip Tars are more like a liquid lipsticks than a lip gloss, and they are far more opaque-- but the color is very very very close. As I suspected Mums the Word is tame by comparison, and it's hard to imagine that I once thought it to be almost too bright!
All three offer saturated color, but Pretty Boy is by far the most intense of the three shades, and Mums the Word is by far the least saturated.
All three are absolutely stunning, and I am so happy to have them!

A Worthwhile Obsession- OCC Lip Tars From the Pretty Boy: F/W 2011 Colour Collection

OCC's Pretty Boy Collection boasts some of the most gorgeous and saturated colors that a girl or boy could hope to find. I limited my Obsession for the day to the Lip Tars, and quickly narrowed my choice down to three: Femme (Pale yellow-based pink), Narcissus (Creamy lavender-toned pink), and Pretty Boy (Rich saturated Fuchsia). For the Full Collection: http://www.occmakeup.com/fw2011.html

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a company that I can stand behind as they are 100% Vegan & Cruelty Free. Not only do they produce safe products, but they are also very easy to use and are incredibly innovative and fashion forward.

These stunning beauties are in a class of their own as they represent "a stunning new innovation in lip color, OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment - a little goes a very, very long way! An intense yet featherweight layer of color that stands up to the scrutiny of Hi-Def Video and Digital Photography, without ever looking (or feeling!) heavy. Meant to be mixed, Lip Tar comes in concise array of colors for a limitless selection of shades made by you!"

They are free of parabens as well as other harsh chemicals, and they contain Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil, and Vitamin E.

These babies are VERY concentrated- so you only want to use the smallest amount, and it works best with a lip brush (OCC recommends their #009 Angle Brush, but any will do).

A few words about usage: It's a good idea to use a lip balm first because the formula can be a bit drying; It's also a good idea to use a lip-liner because it can bleed into lip lines; Don't become disconcerted if you notice your color has separated in the tube-- simply give it a good shaking and it will quickly return to normal.

Lip Tars are meant to be mixed together to create custom colors, so don't be intimidated by some of the more vibrant and "non-traditional" colors. While you can wear any of them alone- it can be far more interesting to create your own color palette. Think of the Lip Tars as your medium and your lips as the canvas-- it is all about being creative!

OCC Lip Tars are $13.00 for a .27oz. tube. You can get them directly from OCC at http://www.occmakeup.com/  and here is the link of retailers: http://www.occmakeup.com/contact.html

I purchased mine from Nigel Beauty Emporium 11252 Magnolia Boulevard North Hollywood, Ca (818) 760-3902. If you live in the greater Los Angeles area it is worth the trip- this is a beauty insider's destination.
