Anthony Advanced Formula Lip Balm SPF 25 in Blood Orange

A good emollient lip balm with an SPF 25 or higher is a wise thing to use all year long– especially since we often forget to protect that delicate skin. Anthony Skincare, known for their men's skincare products, makes a wonderful lip balm that I really like a lot. Nordstrom sells Anthony Advanced Formula Lip Balm SPF 25 with Resveratrol & Stevia in Blood Orange (also available in Mint and White Tea favor) in a set of two, therefore you can give one away and keep one for yourself. This is a very emollient and moisturizing lip balm that conditions, soothes and heals chapped lips while offering SPF protection. It contains chemical sunscreens (Active: Octinoxate 7.5%, Avobenzone 3.0%), but it also includes Titanium Dioxide– though it is at the bottom of the list of ingredients. If you prefer not to use chemical sunscreens– and if you also avoid petrolatum– then you will want to pass on this lip balm. Otherwise, this is a very worthwhile lip balm. The blood orange flavor is quite nice, but the scent isn't long lasting on the lips.
According to Anthony,

A pair of powerful lip balms with SPF 25 to protect and hydrate your lips. This advanced moisturizing lip balm conditions and soothes while providing broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection for hydrated, softened lips. Made in the USA.

Ingredients: Active: Octinoxate 7.5%, Avobenzone 3.0%. Inactive: Petrolatum, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Flavor (Aroma), Resveratrol, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Camellia Oleifera (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf Extract, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), D-Limonene, Citral.
Overall Assessment: These would also make a great stocking stuffer. Though I would probably divide them up and keep one for myself!

  1. When this line came out it was well known in Michigan because the creators were local men. It's nice to see them succeed and have such wonderful products.

  3. I've been trying to find a higher SPF lip balm. I might pick this up for the Hubs and myself.
