Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Kim K.W. and Valentine | Review and Swatches #CHARLOTTETILBURY

Now that I am completely over that wretched winter flu that I had this season, I can finally dip into some wonderful makeup that I have been waiting to test and use. Some of my favorite recent beauty finds have been from the much-celebrated Charlotte Tilbury, and here are two lipsticks that are perfect for those seeking pinky nude shades.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Kim K.W. ($34.00 for 0.12 oz. from Charlotte Tilbury, Nordstrom, Cult Beauty, SelfridgesNet-A-Porter and Beautylish): Described as the "perfect nude lip for a kissable pout"– this peachy pink nude is my ultimate replacement to the now discontinued Tom Ford Lip Color in Nude Vanille (swatched below). This lipstick is emollient, but neither too thin, nor too slippery. It glides across the lips effortlessly, deposits color evenly, and it neither bleeds, nor does it settle into lip lines. It offers opaque, buildable, coverage, with a gorgeous sheen, and it has the perfect amount of cushion for comfortable wear. Charlotte Tilbury is also one of the very few luxury brands that does not test on animals, and this lipstick is gluten-free and paraben-free.

According to Charlotte Tilbury,

Darlings, get Kim K’s signature nude lip! My HOT LIPS lipstick in KIM K.W. is in my K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula for a fuller, kissable pout. This light pinky beige nude lipstick is the perfect vintage-inspired color reminiscent of 1960’s screen sirens.

Features:

• Light-diffusing pigments in the lipstick give lips a brilliant, luminous, multi-dimensional finish: capturing light and reflecting it back out for a full-bodied effect

• The antioxidant Lipstick tree derivative helps protect from UV damage and tackles oxidative stress

• The blend of waxes makes this lipstick easy to glide on for a seamless finish

• This product is gluten-free, paraben-free, and not tested on animals.

Ingredients: Octyldodecanol, Polybutene, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Ethylene/Propylene Copolymer, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Diisostearyl Malate, Silica, Hydrogenated Styrene/ Methyl Styrene/ Indene Copolymer, Mica, Ozokerite, Dicalcium Phosphate, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Propylene Carbonate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil, Ethyl Vanillin, Bixa Orellana Seed Extract, BHT, Tin Oxide, [May Contain/ Peut Contenir (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Carmine (CI 75470), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 6 (CI 15850), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 191140), Yellow 6 Lake (CI 15985), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Red 30 Lake (CI 73360), Red 22 Lake (CI 45380), Red 27 Lake (CI 45410), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090)].
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Valentine (Currently out of stock from Charlotte Tilbury): I recently checked the Charlotte Tilbury website, and this gem of a lipstick was still available, but this morning when I double checked, it was sold out. I posted it anyway, because it is a lovely lipstick, and if it becomes available again, it is well worth having. This petal-rose pink lipstick is a soft and feminine pink nude that is very flattering and infinitely wearable. Like Kim K.W., Valentine glides across he lips effortlessly, deposits color evenly, and is very pigmented a single pass. It has a lovely sheen that beautifully captures the light. Furthermore, it neither settles into lip lines, nor does immigrate, and it isn't in the least bit drying.

According to Charlotte Tilbury,

Darlings, I am so excited to reveal my exclusive K.I.S.S.I.N.G Valentine lipstick, exclusive to CharlotteTilbury.com! Named perfectly by YOU on Instagram, this gorgeous petal-rose pink gives you irresistibly kissable lips in seconds. Enriched with 3D glowing pigments to give you a fuller, wider pout, this beautifully hydrating sixties-inspired lipstick contains soothing orchid and Lipstick Tree extracts. Finished with an angled square tip, apply this youth-boosting lipstick straight from the bullet for the best lips of your life!

Features:

The Lip Stick Tree loves your lips, protecting them from UV damage and fighting oxidative stress so that lips are left soft, pert, soothed and hydrated. A tropical plant originating from America, the plump yet prickly red fruits appear like pouting lips that blow kisses at you as you walk by.

Also contains light-diffusing pigments that give lips a brilliant, luminous, multi-dimensional finish - they capture the light across the lips and reflect it back out for a full-bodied effect.

A special blend of waxes means this lipstick is a dream to use and glides over the contours of your lips. The result is colour rich and buildable, the formula does not bleed outside the lip line.

This product is gluten-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and not tested on animals.

  1. Beautiful shades! These are not matte lipsticks, right, Helen? If the weather ever improves, I may drive an hour and a half to Bloomingdales to look at the shades in person. I adore these colors but I can never tell without swatching them if they are too light for me. They do remind me of 1960s movie stars. I think I would love the sold out Valentine!

    1. Aren't they lovely?! I am hoping that Valentine comes back! Neither of them are mattes, thankfully! I prefer formulas with a sheen to mattes. It's definitely worth making a trip to a Charlotte Tilbury counter, when you have the time! I have discovered so many amazing treasures there! These remind me of a Brigitte Bardot! I think that you will like this formula, and I am sure that there is a shade that you would really love to wear!

    1. They are both gorgeous. As I understand it, TF discontinued Nude Vanille, but Kim K.W. is close in hue. CT definitely makes impressive lipsticks, and I really love this particular formula!

    1. They really are perfect for soft looks! This is what CT says about The Lipstick Tree, "Enriched with a breakthrough, secret ingredient, the Lipstick Tree, an anti-oxidant that naturally protects lips from UV damage and external pollution leaving them cashmere soft and irresistible. Blended with special waxes and clever light-diffusing pigments for pert, full-bodied, ultra-brilliant lips that ensure you leave a lasting impression!"
