The more products that I try from Farmaesthetics, the more deeply I love this beautifully articulated natural skincare line. Two of my most recent discoveries from them are so lovely that I have been reaching for them all of the time, and they also leave me very interested in trying even more of their products.

Their products are 100% natural, they contain certified organic ingredients, they are hypo-allergenic, non-irritating, dermatological tested and cruelty-free. Furthermore, each of their products have certified shelf-life of 2 years from the date of opening.
Farmaesthetics Vassar Rose Perfecting Polish ($30.00 for 4 oz. from Farmaesthetics): This is a wonderful exfoliating powder that simply needs to be mixed with an equal part of your favorite cleanser in order to transform into a customizable exfoliating cleanser. It is a very gentle alternative to traditional microdermabrasion, and only requires the lightest touch to deliver optimal results. I have tried it with several different cleansers and in each case it has left my skin baby soft, silky smooth and perfectly cleansed without stripping or irritating my face.

According to Farmaesthetics,

Vassar Rose Perfecting Polish, an herbal offering for perfecting the complexion, is a weekly at-home exfoliating treatment that performs as a safe alternative to microdermabrasion.

It gives you visible results without stripping or depleting tissue, which commonly occurs with synthetic products, procedures or anti-aging devices. Skin is left naturally toned, tightened and brightened with a vibrant, polished glow.

Directions: Mix equal parts of Vassar Rose Perfecting Polish with a facial cleanser, and then apply to clean, damp skin with a gentle circular massage to activate the exfoliating polish. No need to scrub. Rinse with warm water. For anyone with combination skin.

Ingredients: Powdered Rose Petals* (Softening And Skin-Brightening), Dried Sweet Milk* (Lactic Acid Lifts Dead Cells And Evens Skin Tone), Kaolin Clay (Clears Pores Of Oil And Debris, Reducing Redness And Pore Size), Ultrafine Volcanic Pumice Powder (Gentle Resurfacing Agent) (*Certified Organic Ingredients). Fragrance-free, Paraben-free, Phthalate-free, Sulfate-free, Silicone-free and oil-free.
Farmaesthetics Warming Oil Limited Edition ($18.00 for 2 oz. from Farmaesthetics): This is a gorgeous, limited edition seasonal body oil that is a stunning blend of Orange, Lavender and Clove essential oils. While the Lavender and the Orange oils temper the Clove, the clove presents the most assertive of the three aromas. This spicy blend is absolute perfection for the winter, and if this scent sounds like something that you would love, then you might consider getting a bottle before they sell out. I love to apply this oil to freshly cleansed, slightly damp warm skin right out of the bath or shower, and it sinks right in and deeply hydrates the skin. The lovely aroma lingers for a few hours before fading away, but the dewy glow lasts for considerably longer.

According to Farmaesthetics,

When a warm and welcome hearth is hard to find, our Warming Oil will serve to cut winter’s chill with heat-producing herbs and oils that impart a gentle glow- inside and out.  Apply to body during or after shower to warm and brighten skin tones, restoring the glow of health to a cold, congested or stagnant system.  This roundly scented oil will moisturize skin, adding depth, while stimulating circulation to brighten the complexion, lift the spirits & warm the heart.

Directions: Apply to body during or after a shower or bath to warm a cold or stagnant system
Will brighten the skin, warm the spirits & open the heart.

IngredientsOrange*, Lavender* & Clove* Essential Oils With Soy Oil* & Vitamin E. (*Indicates Certified Organic Ingredient).

Overall Assessment: I am very impressed by the Farmaesthetics products that I have tried thus far, and definitely want to further investigate their offerings.

  1. The Perfecting Polish sounds rrrreally intriguing. Can't do lavender though, so the oil isn't for me.

    1. The Perfecting Polish is quite effective, and quite pleasurable to use, but definitely one to avoid if you can't do lavender. :-)

  4. I really like the sound of the warming oil. Does it have a warming effect on the skin, or are they just referring to the warm clove scent?

    1. The warming oil is quite lovely. There is a VERY SLIGHT warming sensation that you experience when it is first applied, but for me I detect for of the warmth of the clove scent as I rub the oil into my skin. So my experience is that it is more the warm clove scent.

    1. Yes, I would not describe it as fragranced, but instead you can detect some of the ingredients– what I smell is the dried milk, but it isn't fragrant.
