  1. I got mine! And I got a Radical facial. The gal was just so nice. AND I learned she does complimentary facials there monthly! For my purchase I got the Radical Advanced Peptide Antioxidant Serum and the Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads. She was quite generous with samples from the product line: deluxe samples of Firming Neck and Decollete gel, Eye Revive Creme and Anti-Aging Restorative moisture Cream, 2 packets of Extreme Repair Creme (which she did not have in deluxe size) and a large (looks like 3-4 oz but not marked) hydrating cleanser. Looks like this might be an almost full size product but not current packaging. I feel like I hit the jackpot and am extremely pleased! Additionally, she also is a Clarisonic rep so was able to give me some guidance on using it in general and in conjunction with the cleanser.

    1. I'm so happy for you! You picked some lovely Radical products, and you certainly scored on the gifts! How fantastic that she also reps for Clarisonic so that she could give you some guidance on using these products together!

  2. Wondering whether or not you have used the Goldfaden oil?

    1. Yes, I was sent a few samples a while ago, and am very impressed! Have you started using the sample that came in the gift bag yet?

  3. Not yet but I took note of it which caused my question to you. This morning I did the full Radical regimen that I bought and was given except for the pads. I thought that might be too much after the mask yesterday but plan to try it tonight or tomorrow night. Going to try my best to stick with this regimen until the samples are gone, forgoing all others. But I have not been successful trying to limit myself like that in the past. Also, I really missed putting on a facial oil this morning. At first I thought my skin was feeling a little tight but then I realized that what I am feeling is lift.

    1. I think that you will really like the Goldfaden oil! I look forward to hearing how all of the Radical products work for you. I definitely don't think that it is necessary to use the exfoliating pads today since you just had the facial yesterday. I love Radical, but I still always use my face oils. That said, when I was initially testing the line to review it, I did stop using everything else (including my beloved face oils)since I needed to really see how their products worked on my skin. It does sound as though what you are feeling is the lift, but if your skin feels uncomfortable, or as though you aren't getting enough moisture, then you might want to add your oil back in.

  4. What did you get for your purchase or did you have the willpower to abstain?

    1. Believe it or not, I actually didn't buy anything! I have such an overwhelming pile of things to test and review that I was able to abstain.

    3. It's a bit overwhelming! I need to reorganize it because it is taking over my house!

    4. Upon reflection, you didn't need to buy anything because they sent you the gift. I get it now!

    5. That seldom stops me from shopping! I was just so busy with work that I didn't take time to think about personal purchases! Plus, I really don't need anything right now!

  5. I forgot to say that I was surprised and taken aback when I saw that the eye cream is tan colored!

    1. Yes, it definitely is a bit pigmented, and as I recall it is because of the natural ingredients used. I absolutely love that eye cream, and it remains a=one of my all-time favorites! I'm also crazy about the African Botanics eye cream!

  6. Mine came today! Wow, talk about fast shipping! I can't believe how heavy the goodie bag is! I am so excited to explore the goodies!!!

One word: I got the By Terry Densiliss concealer and WOW! Worth the hype! I have never had a concealer like this before. It hid my dark circles and smoothed out the area...and this is testing it on a not fresh face, still wearing the day's make up, and being super sleep deprived. I cannot recommend it enough!

    1. I'm so happy that you already received yours! That really was fast shipping, indeed! I can't wait to hear what you think about everything that you got!

Obviously I need to get the By Terry Densliss concealer! I love it when things actually end up living up to the hype! I get dark circles as well– so this really sounds like the perfect concealer for me as well! Thank you for the wonderful recommendation!

  7. Also, I wanted to say that so far my all time favorite serum is the Radical one. I got the sample with the lolassecret gwp last fall and it hands down has both an immediate effect and long term one. It also plays very well with oils. It's just so pricey. *sigh*

Also with my gift bag, the only down side was that the Tata Harper mask exploded in the box. I think it's the severely cold weather? I just know I could smell it before I even opened my box and then sure enough, it exploded.

    I do have one question for you...well, it's a 2 point question:
    1. Which face oil do you think is hands down the best that you tried?
    2. Which one do you think is the best for dry skin that you tried?

I blend my own usually, and I like not having filler ingredients, but that also means that the oils I use aren't made into smaller molecular sizes or mixed with something that will transport them deeper into the dermis. So was wondering your thoughts given you're super big on oils too.

    Thanks!

    1. Yes, that Radical Serum is truly amazing, and it is definitely pricey! It does play very well with oils, indeed! I'm glad that you got a sample in that lolassecret GWP at Space NK!

I'm so sorry to hear that your Tata Harper mask exploded in your box! I wonder if it was from the super cold weather that you have been experiencing?!

I don't have a single favorite oil that I think is better than all of the others, I love different oils for different reasons.

Here are my top 7, and it was hard to cut my top 14 in half!

      1) Aftelier Honeysuckle Face Elixir: Utterly delectable and unique. Very nourishing and luxurious!

      2) African Botanics Neroli Infused Marula Oil: Gorgeous oil that is one of my very favorites. Very nourishing and delicious!

      3) Colbert MD Illumino Face Oil: Feather light beauty oil that imparts an unbelievably glow, and the retinol helps turn-over dead skin cells revealing fresh youthful skin!

      4) Rodin Olio Lusso: This is a very healing and nourishing oil with the amazing smell of Jasmine. It's a great hydrator!

      4) Sisley Black Rose Precious Oil: Exceedingly nourishing and hydrating, and it leaves skin soft, supple and feeling like velvet! The rose scent is out of this world!

      5) själ saphir concentrate: a lovely nourishing oil that leaves skin lifted, nourished and unbelievably soft and supple. This one really needs to be tried and experienced– it is very unusual and very comforting.

      6) TATCHA GOLD Camellia Beauty Oil: Soothing, hydrating and utterly luxurious, but you already know how amazing this gold-laden jewel is!

      7) The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Face Firming Oil: This Orange scented antioxidant rich anti-aging oil is absolutely amazing. They call it their face-lift in a bottle, and it definitely is a heavyweight anti-aging contender. It also seems to stimulate circulation since my skin becomes a touch pink and glowing upon application.

Of this list one of the very best for dry skin is the Sisley Black Rose Oil, but that is by no means the only fabulous oil for dry skin, but this one is definitely made with dry and/or mature skin in mind. While my skin is neither dry, nor is it mature– I do find this to be one of the most nourishing oils. TATCHA's GOLD Camellia Beauty Oil is also ultra nourishing, and so is Rodin's Olio Lusso. However, Aesop's Damascan Rose Oil is also amazing for dry skin, but my combination skin also loves it!

All of the aforementioned oils are discussed in my Best of 2014 Beauty Oils, and it includes links to the full reviews:

      http://www.lolassecretbeautyblog.com/2014/12/the-top-14-luxury-face-oils-in-2014.html

Blending your own oils is such a wonderful thing to do! I agree that it is a great way to avoid filler ingredients, but it's also quite true that many of those individuals are less refined and sink into the skin more slowly, and often aren't transported deeper into the dermis. I definitely think it's great to mix your own oils since you can really customize the percentages of the various oils used to get the results that you really want. However, there is definitely something to be said for the technology that the purveyors of the luxury oils have at their disposal to create these feather-light fast absorbing luxury oils! I think that it is nice to have a nice balance of the two. <3

    2. Thank you for this! I saw your 14 faves, but way too much to process. :) So this is very much appreciated. The Sisley looks divine but I think it's outside my price range (plus I have a vendor where I can get the rare plum oil that's a part of this formulation). I'm leaning towards the Colbert MD for the Qusome factor and then adding my own mix of rose, rosehip, camellia, blackberry, and evening primrose oil for night. Avocado also penetrates very deeply, but it's only a night oil (also fantastic for a hair mask--really one of the rare oils that actually penetrate the shaft rather than just coating it).

    3. My pleasure! 14 oils can definitely put you on sensory overload! I tried to reduce the number below 7, but I just couldn't eliminate any more– they are all so amazing! The Sisley is divine, but it is definitely such an expensive oil. It took me a while to go for it for that very reason! I don't regret the purchase because it is so amazing, but that was a price that definitely made me wince!

The Colbert MD Illumino is an excellent choice, and supplementing it with your own mixture sounds divine. I cannot wait to hear what you think of it! Keep me posted! :)
