Chanel Les Tissages de Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effet No. 10 Tweed Pink Swatches and Review

 Press Sample
According to Chanel the Blush Duo Tweed Effet was, "Inspired by the iconic CHANEL tweed fabric, two contrasting shades of sheer cheek colour are delicately 'woven' with a subtle shimmering powder for a natural luminous glow. Ultra-soft texture is airy and light."
Sadly, the Chanel Les Tissages de Chanel Blush Duos appear to have been discontinued by Chanel- and they are quickly disappearing from the marketplace (and have been on the discontinued page of Chanel's website for a while). However, whenever discontinued items, Limited Edition releases, and country specific releases are what I seek- then Izzy's Perfume & Beauty Shoppe is my first stop, and over the years I have found some very special and hard to find products that I really wanted from them. Izzy's only sells authentic products and they have outstanding customer service Additionally, they ship products very quickly!
Chanel Les Tissages de Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effet No. 10 Tweed Pink is a pink blush that will make you swoon in delight. I have wanted it for years and years, and am now thrilled to have it in my collection. The Tweed Effect blush formula differs from the Chanel Joues Contrast Blush formula, and the first notable difference is that the Tweed Effect Blushes do not have the rose scent that one comes to expect from Chanel blushes. That's right, it has no detectable scent. What does this mean? Well, it means that my friend Marcia can wear this beautiful blush!!! For all of the people who are sensitive to heavy fragrance in face products- say hello to Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effet!
Chanel Les Tissages de Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effet No. 10 Tweed Pink is a gorgeous cool-toned pink, but as the name suggests it is a duotone blush. Beneath the gorgeous sparkly golden overspray, that disappears after a few uses, you will find two distinctly different pinks that you blend together. On the left side there is a stunning blue-based bubblegum pink, and on the right a lovely blue-based baby pink. Blending the two shades together creates the perfect pink flush with a hint of silver shimmer, but I find the shimmer subtle- and most of it can be blended away. This blush tends to be on the more sheer side, but is quite buildable.
Tweed Pink blends into the skin with gorgeous luminosity, and as expected creates the quintessential Chanel lit from within natural flush of color.
I removed most of the top layer of overspray to reveal the the gorgeous blush beneath. The imprinted tweed pattern pays a lovely homage to the iconic Chanel Tweed Jacket, and it definitely adds to the enjoyment of using this stunning blush.
Light swatch on the top and a heavier swatch on the bottom.

Overall assessment: Seriously stunning blush, and a must-have for pink blush enthusiasts. I am elated to have this blush in my stash, and I have no idea why it took me so long to get it!

  1. Beautiful! I love cool toned pinks so much and, like a little girl, I adore beautiful packaging and designs. This chanel blusher is sheer glamour. I'd love to see a post compiling your favorite pink blushers, Hellen. Can I ask for one? :)
    Have a wonderful week!

  3. Very pretty and it's great to find a place that has discontinued Chanel. Too often it's sold out before we learn how great the product is. Good find.

    1. I agree! I was able to find Chanel Narcisse JC from them a long time ago, and was so thrilled to see all of the other things that they have!

  4. I can't believe Chanel d/c-ed this blush!! It is such a classic, beautiful shade. Btw, for those of you who are looking, I saw some stock at NM online (I just had to look because this blush is one of my staple). Thanks for the news & the wonderful review.

    1. I can't believe it either-- I made the discovery when I went looking on the Chanel website, and then saw that they were beginning to disappear from department store websites :-(. I saw some at NM online as well- I wonder how much stock they actually have-- it will be so sad to see them disappear!

You are so welcome, Claire! I'm glad that you found it to be a useful review! :-)
