Painted Earth Baked Blush in Tulip- Review & Swatches

Press Sample
I cannot adequately express the excitement with which I am able to introduce you to both a phenomenal range of skincare and makeup products hailing from the same company. Oftentimes it seems that a company is good at one and less so at the other, but this is simply not so in the case of Painted Earth. I can unequivocally say that everything that I have tried from skincare to makeup has been phenomenal. I would suggest that it is in large part due to the amazing owner, Joanne, who believes in what she is doing, and who tirelessly scrutinizes the quality of her products in order to ensure that we receive the best products possible.
Painted Earth Baked Blushes are a true thing of beauty, and Tulip is nothing short of stunning!

According to Painted Earth, their Baked Blushes:

Highlight and contour while adding instant radiance to your cheeks with these soft, blendable cheek colors. Silky smooth, highly-pigmented baked blush imparts a natural luminosity and delicate flush of color.
Silky smooth, highly-pigmented baked blush imparts a natural luminosity and delicate flush of color. Hypoallergenic. Fragrance and paraben-free Why Baked? The baking process for these powders helps create an airy, ethereal texture. Each powder is individually baked on its own terracotta tile not allowing moisture to escape, creating a super fine, micronized powder that’s extremely creamy. Handcrafted in the USA, these powders are versatile and universally flattering.
Hypoallergenic. Fragrance and paraben-free. Cruelty free. Made in USA.
As the company states, their Baked Blushes are silky smooth and highly pigmented. In fact, Tulip is such a pigmented and highly saturated color that you will want to use a very light hand because over-application will render unfavorable results (read: you will run the risk of being stared at for all of the wrong reasons, and while your onlookers will likely adore the color- they will seriously question your ability to apply it). Tulip is very finely milled, and truly such a pleasure to use.
Tulip is a delightful bright mid-tone blue-based pink, and while it builds up to uncompromising opacity- it likewise can be applied to delivers a healthy rosy glow from within. I barely touch brush to pan in order to pick up the slightest amount of pigment, and then blend blend blend. The end result is stunning, and it lasts all day without needing to touch up (at least that is so for my combination skin).
As you can see the heavy swatch is very pigmented, but it truly can be sheered out so that it appears quite natural.
Ingredients: Talc, Tricaprylin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, HDI/Trimethyol Hexyliactone Crosspolymer, Jojoba Esters, Dimethicone, Calcium Silicate, Silica, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol.

Overall assessment: I am utterly enamored! This is not the last Painted Earth Baked Blush for me- the pigmentation is so exceptional that I imagine mixing their shades to create custom colors! I urge you to take a closer look at this company- Painted Earth should be on your radar!

  1. That's a beautiful color. I haven't tried their blush yet but I'm wearing some eyeshadows and they are terrific. I absolutely adore the gel eyeliner pencils too.

  2. Hi Lola. Thank you calling out this brand, I have never heard of them. That blush is very pretty but I have several dupes already of that color. I took at look at their website and saw some very interesting products. Unfortunately, their website swatches are terrible. The swatches are small, hard to really see, and no description of the color is provided. At least not that I can find. If you know of any blogs that actually have real swatches up, please share! Meanwhile, I'll just keep an eye on your reviews to see any reviews of their other products you post. Their lipstick looks promising.

    1. Hi Deb! You are very welcome! Painted Earth is AWESOME!!! I have many more of their products to review and swatch (both skincare & makeup) and will be posting more soon. I have several of their lipsticks- so I will work on those for you soon. Marcia from Beauty Info Zone http://beautyinfozone.com features Painted Earth and so does Sheila from Painted Ladies http://www.painted-ladies.com :-)
