The A Method Skin Perfecting Serum 10% Tranexamic Acid Complex

Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

The A Method Skin Perfecting Serum 10% Complex is a 10% Tranexamic Acid Complex that is formulated to tighten, tone and retexturize the skin. Transexamic Acid, which is sometimes used to treat the hyperpigmentation associated with melasma, coupled with Phytic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Delta Lactone and Salicylic Acid, helps fade hyperpigmenation and it effectively brightens the skin. It is a very lightweight and watery serum that melts into the skin without leaving behind a greasy residue. My normal/combination skin has an even texture and pronounced clarity after using this serum for several weeks, and the radiance that I experience is of the type that I normally associate with a post-facial glow.

According to Dr. Tina Alster, who created The A Method, “Tranexamic Acid is a powerhouse skin lightening ingredient that is as effective as Hydroquinone but has a much better safety profile. It evens out skin tone with little to no irritation or peeling and plays well with other active ingredients such as Vitamin C and retinol. I routinely recommend The A Method Skin Perfecting Serum to amplify the effects of other active ingredients in my patients’ existing skincare regimens.”
According to The A Mehod,

Tranexamic Acid (TA) is gaining momentum and quickly becoming beauty’s next big skincare ingredient. Sure to take over in 2022, it is proving to be very effective for minimizing unwanted pigmented (dark) spots and hyperpigmentation.

Studies have revealed that TA slows down the production of melanin and can even block the transfer of pigment from melanocytes to keratinocytes. This is compelling news for those plagued by blotchy skin – and provides an impressive solution to rid them of pigmentation concerns for good. While TA is changing the communication between skin cells, it is also restoring the skin's barrier. TA provides an optimal environment for healthy skin to fight off free radical damage and other stressors – culprits that often may cause additional pigmentation. It’s suitable for all skin types and can be used during pregnancy. Used twice daily, it is not only for the face, but also it can be used on large body areas (arms/legs) underneath a moisturizer.

  1. I've never heard the term "transexemic" before, so I learned something new. I had never heard of this impressive sounding brand until Marcia and/or Cindy started reviewing their products. Sounds like a brand I need to try!
