Divine Herbal Facial Treatment Serum

Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

Divine Herbal Facial Treatment Serum, which is cruelty-free, is a lightweight and fast absorbing oil-based serum that melts into the skin effortlessly. This antioxidant-rich serum is deeply hydrating and nourishing and it leaves skin soft, silky-smooth and luminous. One of its amazing attributes is that it contains Rosehip Seed Oil, which is high in Vitamin A (Retinol), and yet unlike many retinol-based products it is neither irritating, nor does it cause redness and peeling. Furthermore, this lovely oil is a pleasure to use, it has no artificial fragrance (it only has the faint aroma of the actual oils, but it vanishes as soon as it is absorbed), it is effective and it is affordable. This UK-based brand ships worldwide.
According to Divine Herbal,

The Divine Herbal™ ‘Facial Treatment Serum’ is a silky, weightless, yet intensely hydrating concentrate of Rosehip Seed, Hazelnut, Grape Seed and Blackcurrant Seed Oils, along with 3 powerful essential oils (Immortelle, Sandalwood and Neroli) to help fight against the appearance of ageing and uneven skin tone.

Rosehip Seed Oil is naturally high in Vitamin A (Retinol) and easily absorbed by the skin, without the redness, peeling or irritation that can accompany the use of synthetically produced Retinol treatments. Combined with precious essential oils, vitamin-rich Blackcurrant Seed Oil, the brightening properties of Grape Seed Oil and the astringent and balancing effects of Hazelnut Oil; for a synergistic effect on fine lines, irregular pigmentation and dehydrated skin. Immediately absorbed, Divine Herbal™ ‘Facial Treatment Serum’ instantly restores the skin’s clarity, radiance and comfort.

Directions: Lightly press down once on the pump dispenser (equivalent of 2 drops) and gently massage into cleansed face and neck each night. May be used sparingly around the eye area or spot-applied directly to areas of irregular pigmentation.

Ingredients: Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa Rubiginosa), Hazelnut Oil (Corylus Avellana), Grape Seed Oil (Vitis Vinifera), Blackcurrant Seed Oil (Ribes Nigrum), Neroli Oil (Citrus Aurantium Var. Amara), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum Album), Immortelle Oil (Helichrysum Angustifolium), Limonene*, Linalool*, Farnesol* *Natural constituents of essential oils
Overall Assessment: I think that this is a top quality face oil, and I will surely use it down to the last drop.

  1. I also enjoy a oil based retinol treatment. I find them to be the most non-irritating for my skin.

  2. I haven't heard of this brand but it sounds divine. I'm not sure about the scent for me though.

    1. I hadn't either, Marcia– but it is such a great oil. I actually don't think that you would be bothered by the light scent. It's not so much a fragrance as it is a function of being able to smell the Rosehip Seed oil, for instance!

  3. I LOVE this serum, very light considering it's oil based and done wonders for my pigmentation and my skin overall. How does it compare to L'occitane Divine oil? Ive never tried that one but been curious about it...

    1. Hi Karyn, Thank you so much for stopping by. I am so happy to hear that you LOVE this serum, it is such an amazing find! I just pulled out my bottle of L'Occitane Divine Oil, which is quite nice, and I would say that the Divine Herbal Serum is a bit lighter weight and faster absorbing than L'Occitane Divine Oil.

Here is my review of L'Occitane Divine Oil:

Divine Oil definitely feels amazing, and it melts into the skin, but if fading hyperpigmentation is one of your goals, then I think that you will find Divine Herbal Facial Treatment more effective in that regard.

Another face oil that I LOVE, and that also has natural Retinol to help face hyperpigmentation is Tata Harper Retinoic Nutrient Face Oil:

Please let me know if you try one of these next time you need to replenish your face oil, I would love to know what you think!

      Have a lovely weekend!

    2. Thankyou! Its interesting to know the Divine Herbal facial treatment is faster absorbing and lighter than L'occitane's Divine oil. For some reason I was almost expecting it to be the other way round! I will have a read of the Tata Harper review and just maybe see if I can get a sample of the L'occitane Divine oil to try from one of their stores, just to give it a try.

    3. You are very welcome, Karyn! I would say that the difference in the weight and absorbency is negligible between the two, but it is just a bit lighter weight and fast absorbing than L'Occitane. The Tata Harper oil is amazing! I am more than half way through my bottle, and will definitely buy another. I would say that it would be great if you could get a sample of the L'Occitane and the Tata Harper, if possible, and try them before committing to the purchase! All three of these are lovely face oils!
