Shu Uemura Ultimate Reset Extreme Repair Duo Serum for Damaged Hair

Shu Uemura Ultimate Reset Extreme Repair Duo Serum for Damaged Hair is the perfect serum for people who have damaged hair, or want to prevent hair damage from over-processing. It is formulated for all hair types and textures– including fine, medium and thick hair with straight, wavy, curly and coily textures. This lightweight serum is ultra emollient and rich, and yet it neither weighs hair down (including fine hair), nor does it leave behind a greasy film. It helps strengthen damaged hair and protects it from heat damaged incurred by styling tools. Furthermore, it conditions and moisturized hair and leaves it soft and shiny. I should note that it also has an intoxicatingly beautiful fragrance, but it is neither cloying, nor long-lasting.

Features:
Hair Type: Straight, Wavy, Curly, and Coily
Hair Texture: Fine, Medium, and Thick
Key Benefits: Protects Against Damage, Split Ends, and Breakage, Hydrates, and Color Safe
Formulation: Rich Serum

According to Shu Uemura,

This hair serum combines two winning technologies to strengthen very damaged hair, prevent split ends, prevent future hair breakage and create long-lasting shine and softness. Formulated with two different types of hair oils to give hair the ultimate hair care, while leaving hair light and smooth without any greasy residue. Safe on colored hair so your hair color can thrive without sacrificing the health of your hair. 2019 Glamour Beauty Award for the Best Pro Hair Mask/Treatment for Damaged Hair.

Directions: Apply a dime-size amount of the hair serum onto palms. Massage gently onto the ends of damp or dry hair. Leave in serum. Can also be used as an on-the-go touch-up to prevent unmanageable, frizzy hair.

"For centuries, Japanese women have looked to rice for its immense beautifying powers due to it being enriched with minerals, antioxidants, and B and E vitamins. Referred to as 'nuka biji', or 'beautiful by the rice' Japanese women cherish rice’s ability to hydrate and protect the hair."

Note the two different textures: one is a clear oil and the other an opaque cream, and blended together they form a wonderfully enriched serum.
Overall Assessment: I have to confess that I am utterly obsessed with this serum, and will definitely buy another bottle as soon as I finish this one. It pampers my dry and curly hair perfectly!

  1. Shu has a great reputation when it comes to hair products. But there's little that they do wrong in general.

    1. I completely agree. In fact, in all of the years that I have used their hair products, I have yet to find any that I thought were lacking in any way.

  2. I'll have to try this out, my hair is getting dry from using sea salt spray.
