Pevonia Botanica Stem Cells Phyto-Elite Multi-Active Foaming Cleanser

Pevonia Stem Cells Phyto-Elite Multi-Active Foaming Cleanser is formulated for people with mature skin who want to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles in order to reveal smoother skin. I had some misgivings about testing this product because I have normal/combination skin that doesn't have wrinkles– only some fine expression lines. However, when I pumped out a little to test– I was thrilled by its emollience coupled with its generous lather. While I am not the intended demographic, and therefore cannot really speak to the extent of its ability to treat "severe aging skin"– I can say that it is a very lovely hydrating cleanser that thoroughly cleans the skin, and it neither strips it, nor leaves behind an greasy residue. It has a light and clean botanical aroma, but it does not linger.

According to Pevonia Botanica,

Multi active one-step cleanse and tone formula renders the skin thoroughly cleansed and wonderfully refreshed.

For mature skin with severe aging signs or those who want to avoid them. Great for those who want reduced lines and wrinkle depth, a smoother skin surface, and long-term protection of the skin's naturally repairing stem cells.
Directions: Pump a small amount of Stem Cells Multi-Active Foaming Cleanser in the palm of your hand. Foam cleanser between palms using warm water. Apply all over face and neck, work with wet fingertips. Rinse with warm water and towel dry. Use morning and evening. Recommended for mature skin with deep dehydration. For best results, apply Stem Cells Phyto-Elite® products in this order: 1. Cleanser, 2. Serum, 3. Cream.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Kaolin, Glycerin, Argania Spinosa Callus Culture Extract and Isomalt and Lecithin and Sodium Benzoate and Water, Symphytum Officinale Callus Culture Extract and Isomalt and Lecithin and Sodium Benzoate and Water, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract.
Overall Assessment: This is such a nice cleanser, and I would be very curious to know if anyone has tried it. If so, what are your thoughts?

  1. I am not familiar with this brand/product. Though I don’t have “severe signs of aging”, I do have some! It sounds like a very nice cleanser, but I wonder if a cleanser that you wash off and then follow up with toner in many occasions is this right product for stem cells. I am curious about their serums and moisturizers.

    1. I wasn't familiar with it until I tried it. I wondered the same thing about the efficacy of stem cells in a cleanser, and I really am not sure how such claims would be implemented when the objective is to wash it off thoroughly. However, it is a very thoroughly cleaning and non-stripping cleanser that is quite hydrating, and it leaves the skin feeling really comfortable.

    1. It is quite luxe, and if you have the opportunity to try any of their products, I would.

  3. It sounds lovely but I just wonder how a cleanser that you wash off can treat wrinkles?

    1. It is lovely, and I have no idea how a cleanser could achieve that. However, it is a very hydrating and non-stripping cleanser, and perhaps the extent to which it moisturizes the skin can soften the appearance of wrinkles. For me, it is just a very nice non-stripping hydrating cleanser that makes my skin feel really good.

  4. The name is quite the mouthful! If it has a nice lather and it worked for you, I would probably like it too!

    1. It is, indeed! I love the lather, and how hydrating it is. I never would have sought it out because it is targeting skin that it quite wrinkled, but as it turns out it works quite well for normal/combination skin with just a few expression lines.
