The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser | Review

Purchased (Affiliate Links)

The Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser is but one of my many obsessions from the brand, and I have repurchased so many of their products that I have lost count. Their products are healthy, cruelty-free, incredibly effective and such a pleasure to use.

Whether you are a proponent of single or a double cleansing, this oil-based balm cleanser effectively removes all traces of makeup and dirt. In starts out as a solid balm, but melts into an oil when it comes into contact with warm skin. It is rich, emollient and very concentrated, and therefore only a small amount is needed to yield extraordinary results. Furthermore, it is very gentle and effective and it thoroughly cleans the skin without any effort on your part.

I simply apply a small amount to dry skin and massage it with my fingers and then remove it with a warm damp muslin cloth or a soft cotton wash cloth. It leaves skin soft, supple and radiant. Sometimes I do not use an additional cleanser, but I also love to double cleanse. I have normal/combination skin, and can forgo the second cleansing, but I generally don't. If you have very dry skin you may not opt to double cleanse, but if you have combination to oily skin you will probably want to double cleanse since you may prefer to wash away any of the remaining oils. It has a very light herbal aroma that simply smells like a fusion of its ingredients.

According to The Organic Pharmacy,

Cleansing is the most important part of maintaining and achieving beautiful skin. Without cleansed skin moisturisers and special treatments will not penetrate properly and dead skin will not be removed. Carrot Butter Cleanser is a balm cleanser that melts on contact with the skin.

Directions: Apply a small amount onto dry skin with your fingertips, allowing the cleanser to fully dissolve grime and makeup. Remove with your muslin cloth soaked in warm water. This will boost circulation and fully remove the cleanser, leaving skin radiant.

Free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oil, silicone and talc. Cruelty-free.

Ingredients: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Hypericum Perforatum Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Tocopherol, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Geraniol, Limonen, Linalool,

    1. Haha! It doesn't really smell like carrot cake, though.

  2. Even though I have very dry skin, I always double cleanse because most often I use micellar water and it doesn’t remove everything. My second cleanse is with a cream cleanser at this time of year. I need to use up my Cleansing balms. I would definitely consider this one - the carrot 🥕 is very appealing as well as the brand itself

    1. I do too, it's such an effective way to really remove every trace of dirt and makeup. This is a really fantastic cleansing balm, and while this one is pricey– it is quite concentrated (so a little really does go a long way). I think that you would really love this one, and The Organic Pharmacy in general.
