This cold and rainy weather has me more interested in nourishing and hydrating skin and body care products than any other beauty products, and I thought this would be the perfect time to highlight a few of my current favorites. Utama Spice makes beautiful handcrafted natural products in Ubud, Bali that are a treat to the senses and they effectively pamper the skin. Their Lavender Body Butter and Lip Balms are offering my dry winter skin and lips great relief, and they smell utterly delectable.
About Utama Spice,

Utama Spice is a 100% natural skin care company based in Ubud, Bali. We focus on applying traditional herbal knowledge to create products that not only enhance your skin's natural beauty but also inspire you with the raw power of nature. We do this by using only 100% pure natural ingredients.

We started small and we like it that way. We adhere to the Balinese cultural concept of Tri Hita Karana, which commits us to respecting and working harmoniously with humanity, nature and the divine. As a business we understand the importance of the individual to maintain the health of the global village, so we strive to lower our impact on the environment. We do extensive research to support the local natural resource base and to enhance local farming skills in such areas as organic farming, bee farming and seaweed farming. These farming communities produce the raw materials for our products. If you wouldn’t cook with it, you shouldn’t put it on your body.

At Utama Spice we take pride in developing and producing every aspect of our all-natural skincare products. From picking the ingredients for our teas to mixing our own bases, everything we do is to ensure the highest quality and purest product.

Our factory is more like a kitchen with our production team taking on the role chefs. Every surface is stainless steal and sterile to avoid cross contamination. Our team is highly experienced with many being part of the Utama Spice family for over ten years, and are the total embodiment of our Tri Hitra Karanaphilosophy. As we are still small we are able to give our products the time and care needed for the creation that goes into any well-made hand crafted product. We have strict procedures that ensure the products and the raw materials are checked at every stage, guaranteeing the highest standard of quality control.

Passion, care, and experience are essential in every stage of our production. The end result is a product so fresh and natural you will want to eat it, and why shouldn’t you? At Utama Spice we know that your skin is your body’s biggest organ and should be treated as such. This is why when we make our products we think of it as making food for the skin.
Utama Spice Natural Aromatherapy Products Gentle & Caring Lavender Body Butter ($12.99 for 100ml. from Utama Spice Natural Aromatherapy Products): This aromatic Lavender Body Butter is very rich, moisturizing and it smells delightful. Unlike many lavender body oils, body lotions and body butters, the fragrant aroma of this one isn't too assertive or cloying. It is lightweight, rich and very concentrated– therefore a little bit goes a long way. I like to warm it up in my hands and then massage it into freshly cleansed, and slightly damp skin. Skin is left soft, smooth, ultra-nourished, hydrated and luminous.

According to Utama Spice,

Delight your skin and cover yourself in this buttery satin. Let the Lavender – known traditionally for its healing and relaxing properties – do its magic! Enriched with Aloe Vera for extra nourishment this Lavender Body Butter is delicious skin food.
