Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Crème | Review #TataHarper

Purchased (Affiliate Links)

Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Crème is my latest purchase from Tata Harper, and as you know from my last Tata Harper review (HERE and HERE), I really love this brand. I should probably tell you that this was a bit of an impulse buy– because I had no intention of making this purchase, but when I saw it in the display I tested it on my arm and was too intrigued and curious not to try it.

Described as an, "age-defying eye cream with a universal pearl blush tint that minimizes the look of lines and wrinkles and instantly illuminates with diamond dust"– I thought that this would be the perfect combination of a luminizer and a nourishing eye cream, and it does not disappoint.

If you love Tata Harper skincare, then this eye cream definitely lives up to the rest of the line. It is a lightweight cream that has a creamy and smooth texture and consistency that resides somewhere between a serum and a lotion. It melts into the skin upon contact, can be used on the eyelids as well as below the eyes, and feels refreshing against the skin. It is filled with nourishing ingredients and hydrators, such as Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter, and all sorts of active extracts and oils that smooth and plump fine lines, reduce the appearance of puffiness and dark circles and leave skin soft, smooth, hydrated and supple. Additionally, the "Diamond Dust Mineral Blend" subtly illuminates the skin and optically blurs imperfections. It has a light pink tint, that is pearl infused, as you can see in the swatch below, but when it sinks into the skin it imparts no color, but just a light luminosity.

It has a very light herbal aroma from the natural ingredients, not from artificial fragrances, but it in no way irritates my very sensitive eyes. It takes very little to make my eyes water, and there is absolutely no hint of irritation or discomfort for me when using this cream.

Admittedly, I have many eye creams, and I didn't need another one, but the texture and the luminizing effects made this a must-try for me.
According to Tata Harper,

This illuminating eye cream is equal parts brightening and age-defying. The formula's pearl blush tint provides a subtle, universal glow and diamond dust reflects light to instantly illuminate the look of the eyes. Hyaluronic acid, Spanish lavender oil, and date palm kernel extract work together to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and hydrate for fresh, glowing skin, while buckbean extract visibly firms and lifts. It provides a beautiful, soft luminescence when worn around the eyes, and helichrysum essential oil lends a green floral aroma.

    1. It is so cool. I just had to buy it after playing with the tester at Sephora! The pink doesn't impart color on the skin when it sinks in, and the luminosity isn't overdone. I find it very hydrating and quite lovely. It really was an impulse buy, and more often than not those can prove to be less than well reasoned, but I have been reaching for this every day since purchasing it, and I really like it a lot. I am happy with my purchase, but if you are on the fence, you might see if you can get a sample first. If you try it, please let me know what you think.

  2. I have so little experience with Tata Harper beyond a couple of tiny samples that I got in subscription bags. This sounds so lovely. I will check it out next trip to Sephora

    1. I definitely recommend asking for samples of her skincare on your next Sephora visit. I have purchased a lot of products from her, and I really love them!

  4. This sounds absolutely fabulous but I'm so sensitive to fragrance that I'd have to test it out first.

    1. It really is wonderful, and such a pleasant surprise. I would definitely recommend testing, and smelling, it at Sephora to see if the aroma is too much for you. I have very sensitive eyes, and it does not bother me in the least, and I also find that the aroma fades very quickly. That said, given your sensitivity to scent, I would definitely test it before purchasing it.

  5. I like the idea of illuminizing. Does it peek through makeup or concealer?

    1. Yes, the luminizing aspects really wonderful! I can discern the luminosity, even under my concealer, but it's subtle. If you want a more pronounced luminosity, you can add a tiny bit to your concealer as well.
