Kneipp Almond Blossom Soft Skin Skincare Picks

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

Directly following my review, featuring the Kneipp Lady's Mantle Collection (Reviewed HERE), I received a very sweet email from a lovely reader, who was one of the first people to ever leave a comment on LSBB about 7 years ago, requesting a review of any skincare products that I may have tried from the Kneipp Almond Blossom Soft Skin Skincare Collection. She said that she purchased, and loves, the body care products from this range (Reviewed HERE and HERE) and wanted my take on Kneipp's skincare products from this collection. I only have three products from the range, but have tested them long enough to share my thoughts.
The Almond Blossom Soft Skin range is formulated for:
♥ Normal skin
♥ Oily / Combination skin
♥ Dry skin
♥ Sensitive skin

Benefits of Almond Oil for Skin:

Anyone in ancient Egypt interested in anti-aging did not pass up almond oil. Due to its extremely high oleic acid content, it cares for and protects normal as well as chapped skin prone to flaking and itching and it gives the skin a soft, silky appearance. Almond oil is even very well tolerated by the most sensitive skin.

Kneipp Almond Blossom Cleansing Milk Soft Skin ($15.00 for 6.76 oz. from Kneipp): This aromatic non-lathering cream cleanser is very gentle, and yet it thoroughly cleans the skin without stripping it, and without leaving behind a greasy residue. It is very effective at removing makeup, and therefore can serve as the first step in a double cleansing routine, and thus can replace a cleansing oil for people who enjoy that two-step process.  It moisturizes the skin, and leaves it very soft, smooth and supple. Kneipp suggests removing it with a cotton pad, but I prefer to to use warm water and then pat my skin dry with a very soft cotton towel. You will love this cleanser if you enjoy gentle cream cleansers that moisturize the skin. However, if you prefer lathering cleansers or cleansers that are free of all fragrance, then this one is not for you, but the scent is subtle and it doesn't linger for very long.

According to Kneipp,

The Almond Blossom Cleansing Milk Soft Skin gently cleanses and removes make-up without drying out the skin. It contains high-quality, nourishing almond oil and vitamin E.

Directions: Apply to face and neck then remove with a moist cotton pad.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cetearyl Olivate, Panthenol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Flower Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Coumarin, Citronellol, Geraniol, Citral, P-Anisic-Acid, Parfum (Fragrance), Sorbitan Olivate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Helianthus Annuus Hybrid Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Arginine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tocopherol.
Kneipp Almond Blossom Face Tonic Soft Skin ($15.00 for 6.76 oz. from Kneipp): This is a very gentle alcohol-free, non-stripping toner that feels incredibly refreshing against the skin– while offering it light hydration. It has the same lovely warm floral aroma that is a hallmark of the Almond Blossom range, and it is quite pleasant, but it is very faint and non-assertive. While it does not linger, if you have a very sensitive nose, and can't tolerate aromatic skincare products, then this probably isn't the best choice for you.

According to Kneipp,

The Almond Blossom Face Tonic Soft Skin gently refreshes and cares for cleansed skin and removes any remaining cleansing milk. This face tonic with intensively nourishing pathenol does not contain alcohol.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Panthenol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Flower Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Coumarin, Parfum (Fragrance), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenylpropanol, Citric Acid.
Kneipp Almond Blossom Face Cream Soft Skin ($25.00 for 1.69 oz. from Kneipp): This is a mid-weight ultra-emollient, seriously nourishing and hydrating cream that is very fast absorbing. It melts into the skin effortlessly and leaves it feeling comfortable, soft and supple. It has the same lovely almond blossom aroma associated with this collection, but it sits very close to the skin and doesn't linger for very long. Once again, if you can't tolerate aromatic skincare products, and require decidedly fragrance-free selections instead, then this probably isn't for you.

According to Kneipp,

The Almond Blossom Face Cream Soft Skin contains high-quality almond oil which is also very well tolerated by sensitive skin. The natural nourishing effect is enhanced by the cell-protecting combination of vitamins A and E, rich shea butter as well as skin-soothing panthenol. Because of its lipid-replenishing character, the intensively nourishing face cream makes the skin noticeably more supple, provides it with lasting moisture and supports the skin’s own protection from photo-aging.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Olivate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sorbitan Olivate, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Panthenol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Candelilla Cera, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Phytosterols, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Flower Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Coumarin, Citronellol, Geraniol, P-Anisic-Acid, Parfum (Fragrance), Helianthus Annuus Hybrid Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Arginine, Tocopherol.
Overall Assessment: I am a really big fan of Kneipp, and find their products to be such a treat for the skin and the senses. They are currently featuring a lot of very tempting sales on their website, and if you love their products it's definitely worth taking a look at their offerings.

  3. Almond Blossom was the scent of the shower cream that I brought back from Holland, and I loved it. I would definitely be interested in trying the Almond Blossom skincare. So interesting that the packaging is so different for the Dutch version
