Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette | Review and Swatches

Purchased (Affiliate Links)

If you feel about Charlotte Tilbury as I do, then you are undoubtedly thrilled by the prospects of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Exclusive Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette, and while I eagerly anticipated its arrival at my doorstep– I imagined its ultra-finely milled textures, perfect finishes and gorgeous natural colors. Did it live up to my musings? No, it exceeded them. In fact, this is one of the best makeup purchases that I have made this year.

I have included swatches comparing Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette and with the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Blush Glow Light to Medium Palette (Reviewed HERE), and I also compared the blushes from the Pretty Glowing Palette with Tom Ford Beauty Frantic Pink (The original version) and Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in Love Glow (Reviewed HERE) and Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in Love is the Drug (Reviewed HERE) in order to help you determine whether or not you need this stunning new palette. The luminous finishes of the blushes, bronze & Contour and highlighters are ultra-flattering on the skin without being glittery and overdone. They create the perfect luminous finish.
Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette $75.00 ($153.00 value from Nordstrom): This is a gorgeous face palette that is comprised of 6 ultra-finely milled powders. There is a face powder, a bronze and contour, two blushes and two highlighters. It features, "everything you need to look instantly healthy, glowing and pretty." Each powder glides across the skin effortlessly and deposits color evenly. None of the powders settle into lines, nor do they emphasize pore size. Of the six powders in this palette, the only one that isn't a good match for my complexion is the Airbrush Powder #2 which is too warm to wear as an all-over face powder.
Palette includes:
- Airbrush Powder #2 (a warm powder with golden undertones and a soft velvety texture)
- Bronze and Contour (a neutral cocoa to tone, slim, sculpt and define)
- Blush in Pretty (a youthful rosy flush to illuminate any skin type)
- Summer Blush (a bright coral with a soft sheen)
- Illuminating Glow (top left) (a soft champagne to highlight and illuminate)
- Highlighting Glow (bottom right) (opalescent with golden/pink undertone to layer and highlight)
How to use: Begin with the Powder to set your look. Then, use the Bronzer to contour and create a natural, tanned glow. Choose your perfect Blush shade and follow right below the cheekbones to brighten your look. Then, choose your perfect Glow shade and highlight along the cheekbones, cupid's bow, nose and chin to finish off a beautiful, glowing look.
Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette and Filmstar Bronze & Blush Palette compared
The Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Glowing Skin Palette boasts the same extraordinary quality as the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Blush Glow Light to Medium Palette, and the colors are close enough that you might not "need" the Pretty Glowing Palette if you are only getting it for the bronzer and blushes. That said, the entire palette is quite impressive, and that has made this a very worthwhile purchase for me. Furthermore, I am such a fan of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty that I simply could not pass up the opportunity to own this beauty.
If you were obsessed with the original version of Tom Ford's Frantic Pink Cheek Color, then you undoubtedly can see that Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Blush is quite close in hue. However, while Pretty Blush and Summer Blush boast the same enviable textures as the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blushers, you can clearly see that Love Glow and Love is the Drug are far more pink that the peachier hues found in the Pretty Glowing Skin Palette.
Overall Assessment: I cannot sufficiently underscore the extent to which I am obsessed with this gorgeous palette, and I highly recommend it. A+

  3. I was so excited to order this even though I'd just spent a fortune on CT. It's so pretty and the products in it are so silky. I didn't photograph it since I think it will be gone after Anniversary is over.

  4. Damn you Lola! Now I NEED this palette. I was hoping the blushes would be similar to Love Glow blush but I see there are not and that coral is to-die-for!

  5. Now that’s a rave, Helen! I love the blushes. I think the palette is a bit too warm for me but after reading your review of how finely milled they are, I am dying to try a blush or setting powder!

    1. The textures and pigmentation are glorious, and the blushes and highlighters are just extraordinary. It's a little warmer in tone that I usually gravitate toward (because I have cool-toned skin), but as you can see I hit the pan on the Tom Ford Frantic Pink- which is in the same color family as the blushes in this palette.
