TATCHA INDIGO Soothing Silk Body Butter | Review

Press Sample & Purchased (Affiliate Links)

TATCHA, an amazing company deeply rooted in history, continues to impress even the most jaded beauty aficionados with their elegant and highly effective products. Victoria Tsai, the founder and CEO of TATCHA, performs miracles in her ability to capture the beauty secrets of the geisha, but does so by utilizing their philosophical system coupled with modern technology and science. The end result? The most extraordinary products that encourage you to slow down and savor the act of engaging in the most decadent experiential skincare ritual.

Among my favorite TATCHA gems is the entire Indigo Collection. TATCHA Soothing Silk Body Butter is a profoundly moisturizing treatment cream that offers even the driest skins great relief. I should state that I have a very large assortment of body creams and body butters at the moment, and I had absolutely no need, whatsoever, to buy another one, and yet I purchased another TATCHA Soothing Silk Body Butter as soon as I was close to finishing my previous jar– I just did not want to be without it because I enjoy using it that much.
TATCHA'S Indigo Soothing Silk Body Butter is a rich, fast absorbing and non-greasy body cream that leaves behind the most lusciously supple, soft and deeply moisturized skin imaginable. The anti-inflammatory-rich formula soothes redness and skin irritation swiftly, effortlessly and with great efficacy. The subtle warm clean scent is utterly intoxicating, but it fades quickly and will not to interfere with any fragrances that one might wear.
According to TATCHA,

Rich in anti-inflammatory Indigo, liquid Silk and Squalane, TATCHA's INDIGO Soothing Silk Body Butter softens and soothes irritated skin.

The stems, leaves and petals of the Indigo plant are steeped in water and fermented to make a concentrated botanical extract. Tryptanthrin and indirubin actives help reduce irritation and promote skin's natural healing abilities. The natural blue hue disappears upon application. Due to the natural botanical extract, the shade of Indigo may vary; the efficacy of the formulation remains the same.

Who it's for: Any skin type, especially sensitive, inflamed or irritated skin consistent with symptoms of dermatitis, eczema and rosacea.

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Squalane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propanediol, Diisostearyl Malate, Myristyl Myristate, Xylitol, Dipentaerythrityl Hexahydroxystearate, Behenyl Alcohol, Parfum/Fragrance, Colloidal Oatmeal, Polygonum Tinctorium Leaf/Stem Extract, Indigofera Tinctoria Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Oil, Inositol, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate, Sericin, Algae Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Sodium Dilauramidoglutamide Lysine, Beheneth-20, Sorbitan Tristearate, Sodium Polyacrylate Starch, Microcrystalline Wax, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Disodium Edta, Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Acrylate/Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Dimethylacrylamide Crosspolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Mica (Ci 77019), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Tin Oxide (Ci 77861).
Overall assessment: This is unquestionably an obsession-worthy body butter, and I will continue to gleefully repurchase it.

  1. Everything from Tatcha is divine! If you repurchased the body butter before even finishing your current jar, it must be truly special. I need to ask for a sample at Sephora
