As I have stated repeatedly, Dove Beauty Bars were part of the landscape of my childhood, and you might say that I have something of a sentimental attachment to these creamy bars of goodness. They are effective, they make the skin feel great, and they neither strip it, nor do they leave it in the least bit taut. Dove sent me the infographic below that I thought the I would share with you.
Dove Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar ($3.19-$12.99 for 2-14 bar packs from TargetWalgreens and Bed, Bath & Beyond): If you have sensitive skin, then you likely seek a gentle cleansing bar that will neither strip, nor dry out your skin, and this bar definitely delivers. Furthermore, this bar leaves skin soft, smooth and not in the least bit taut.

According to Dove,

This Dove Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar brings you classic Dove cleansers and ¼ moisturizing cream in an unscented, hypoallergenic bar that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin. Suitable for daily use, it helps protect skin’s natural moisture and can be used on your hands, body or face. 1. That's a wonderful choice! We rotate between all of their bars, but that is a really great one, and the one that I used exclusively when I had an allergic reaction to a body care product that gave me a rash on my arms and legs!

  4. I have used the fragrance free Dove bar for as long as I can remember. My GYN recommended it so that's what's in my shower. I don't care for the smell of the original but I'm really happy with the sensitive/fragrance free.

    1. That's such a great one, indeed. I am not surprised that you avoid the more fragrant varieties since you are sensitive to fragrances.

  8. I always wondered if there was a difference between the pink and the original white bars, like added fragrance or something. Glad to see that isn't the case!

  9. I'm a firm believer in bar soap. Despite loving a good scented shower gel, I always rely on bar soap for actually cleansing. Good quality ones are actually less drying than body washes in my experience.
