Lancôme Énergie de Vie The Smoothing & Plumping Pearly Lotion | Review

If ever you have used a skincare essence, then you are no doubt aware that they tend to look like thick toners, but with a slick and emollient texture. They saturate the skin with much-needed hydration, are good for all skin types, and they give it a glowing, dewy appearance. Lancôme Énergie de Vie The Smoothing & Plumping Pearly Lotion does all of these things while plumping and refreshing the skin. One of its unique features is that Lancôme suspended oil droplets in the water, which you can see in the closeup picture below, and they offer the skin added hydration and moisture. It has a wonderful light green aroma that is pleasant and uplifting, but it is neither overpowering, nor long lasting.

After a single use, I knew that I would really like this product a lot, and I was right. It makes the skin feel so comfortable and hydrated, and the luminous, dewy glow is really stunning.

According to Lancôme,

Inspired by Korean skin care routines, this highly effective essence acts as a moisture magnet while relieving dullness and revitalizing skin.

Formulated with lemon balm, ginseng, cranberry, and Vitamin E, this essence immediately leaves skin feeling comfortable and nourished. The unique texture of oil droplets suspended in water fuels your skin with bursts of hydration. Its anti-fatigue formula provides 24-hour hydration while replumping and revitalizing the skin for an instantly glowing complexion. In 1 week, skin looks healthier.

Why add an essence to your routine? Essences provide an added layer of hydration to the skin after cleansing. For optimal results, use the Pearly Essence before Lancôme's Advanced Génifique to boost the efficaciousnes of your serum.

  3. The only essence I used was from Algenist and it was thinner than a toner, not thicker. I wonder now if it was a true essence.
