Omorovicza is a luxury spa brand that makes ultra-luxe face and body products that are known to "harness the remarkable healing and anti-aging powers of Hungary's mineral-rich thermal waters." Their products are free from synthetic fragrances, colors and parabens, and they are filled with Hungary's mineral-rich healing waters and their patented Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivery system. Additionally, they combine nourishing vitamins, essential oils and natural ingredients that they source from all over the world.

Omorovicza Moor Mud Cream Cleanser is a gentle, non-foaming, cream cleanser that leaves skin thoroughly cleansed, without any stripping, and renders it remarkably soft and refreshed. Furthermore, it leaves behind no greasy residue that necessitates a second cleansing for its removal. Ideal for sensitive and dry skin, it is likewise a treat for normal to oily skin types as well.  My skin, which is normal to combination, experiences a pronounced clarity as a result of its clarifying and detoxifying formula, and it lifts impurities and gently clears congested pores without drying the skin, or leaving it taut and uncomfortable. Skin is left soft, smooth, supple and luminous.

It should not be overlooked that this cleanser is incredibly refreshing to the skin courtesy of the cooling blend of essential oils (Camphor, Peppermint and Eucalyptus), and one should most assuredly avoid contact with the eyes. That said, it should be stated that the cooling effect is mild rather than overdone and I do not find it in the least bit irritating to my sometimes finicky skin. However, if you have known sensitivities or allergies to any of these essential oils, then you should avoid this cleanser altogether.

According to Omorovicza,

Harnessing the purifying powers of mineral-rich Hungarian Moor Mud (derived from the largest thermal lake in Europe, Lake Hévíz), the luxurious cleanser delivers a deep pore cleansing action; effectively dissolving dirt and make-up to reveal a smoother, more refined appearance.

A cooling blend of Camphor, Peppermint and Eucalyptus Essential Oils leave skin feeling soothed and revitalized, whilst the brand's patented Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivery system creates a firmer, younger-looking appearance with increased suppleness.
Directions: Apply a pea-sized amount to damp skin and massage in circular motions before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. Avoid contact with eyes, cannot be used to remove eye makeup.

Select Ingredients and Their Attributes:
  • Hungarian Moor Mud is rich in calcium and magnesium carbonates, humic acid and fulvic acid, which together purify and nourish the skin.
  • Zinc Oxide reduces pore size and has a natural anti-inflammatory effect.
  • Lavender camphor, peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils have a cooling and antiseptic effect on the skin.
  • Omorovicza’s patented Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivery system leaves skin firmer, more supple and younger-looking.
Ingredients: Aqua (Hungarian Thermal Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Silt (Hungarian Mud), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Saccharomyces Ferment Extract, Zinc Oxide, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Parfum (Fragrance), Eucalyptus Leaf Oil, Mentha Piperita(Peppermint) Oil, Phospholipids, Xanthan Gum.
Overall Assessment: I am so impressed by this cleanser that I have been using it every single day since opening it, and while that alone may not seem like an effusive endorsement, it really is given that my preference tends to be lathering cleansers. Not only does it deliver tangible results, but the tactile effects of its use are so pleasant and uplifting that I actually can't wait to wash my face each day! A+

  1. I was all set to say the cleanser sounded perfect for my dry skin, but then it has camphor and peppermint oil, definite no go's for me. Nevertheless, I would like to try something else from this brand with the long O name, someday!

    1. I actually thought about you when I was testing this, and came to the conclusion that it would be a perfect cleanser for you were it not for the camphor and peppermint! Definitely deal-breaking ingredients for you, Allison! That said, this is definitely a line that you ned to try at some point.

  2. This sounds like it's much skincare as cleanser. It must be great if you've abandoned all the others.

  3. Upon seeing the name, I didn't think I could get excited about a mud based cleanser, but yeah, I can. This sounds so interesting!

  4. This sounds amazing! Mud cleansers, much like charcoal cleansers, are wonders of nature!
