I remember going to Macy's, as a teenager, with my mom, and spending hours at the Borghese counter. My mom loved buying their products, and had a lot of their lipsticks. I absolutely loved to use their Fango masks, and relished the aroma of their skincare line. I was, therefore, so happy to try a few more of their skincare products, and I wanted to feature three products that I have really been enjoying this winter.
Borghese Curatore Moisture Intensifier ($69.00 for 1.70 oz. from Borghese, Macy's, Skin Store, Birchbox and Lord & Taylor): This lightweight, and fast absorbing, serum boosts the efficacy of your favorite moisturizer while the Hyaluronic Acid binds moisture, plumps fine lines, and leaves skin soft, smooth and hydrated. It has a very light scent that fades soon upon absorption.

According to Borghese,

This pure, sheer, super-light formula is an indispensable prep-step following cleansing. Applied before your favorite cream or lotion, it helps activate skin's moisture potential to intensify hydration and boosts end benefits. Hyaluronic Acid attracts and binds moisture, imbuing skin with natural radiance and wholly luminous beauty.

Directions: Apply to cleansed and toned skin. Massage onto face, throat and around eye area with fingertips. Use morning and evening. Follow with application of your favorite moisturizer.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cyclomethicone, Butylene Glycol, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Propylene Glycol, Olive (Olea Europaea) Oil, PPG-24-Glycereth-24, Mineral Salts, Sea Salt (Maris Sal), Geranium Maculatum Oil, Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) Oil, Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Oil, Adenosine Triphosphate, Collagen Amino Acids, Glycosaminoglycans, Maleated Soybean Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxylated Lecithin, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Trisodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Linalool.

It has a lovely light, warm aroma, but it fades once absorbed. It is a great daytime moisturizer for combination to oil skin types.

  3. I haven't noticed a Borghese counter in a very long time. I used to love their eyeshadows (but that's no surprise) and had a gwp palette with many shades that I used for the longest time. I'm glad to hear that the fragrance is short lived with these.
