LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick in Minimalist | Review and Swatches

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick in Minimalist, which is described as a deep rose, is a gorgeous lipstick with an enviable formula. The richly pigmented matte lipstick glides across the lips effortlessly, deposits color evenly, and it neither bleeds, nor settles into lip lines. The antioxidant-rich formula is long-wearing, comfortable on the lips, and I did not find it in the least bit drying. It can be built up for maximum opacity, or sheered out for a light veil of cover (both show in the swatch below)– either way it is an infinitely wearable and flattering shade with a beautiful finish. I tend not to be drawn to matte lipsticks since so many of them tend to look very flat and can both be, and appear, drying– but I do not find this to be the case with this particular lipstick.

According to LORAC,

Instantly transform your look with LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick. These sexy and playful lipsticks coat your lips in highly-pigmented color with an opaque, matte finish. Alter Ego Lipstick contains antioxidants such as acai berry, pomegranate, grape seed extract, and vitamins C and E. Whether you wish to be a Free Spirit, a Supermodel or a Sex Kitten (even if just for a night), Alter Ego Lipstick comes in a gorgeous range of colors from soft nudes to vivid hues to create any look you covet. Embrace your every identity and dress up your lips with LORAC.

  3. Pretty shade when worn lightly. Personally I'm anxiously awaiting matte lips to leave town.

    1. Which is precisely the way hat I like to wear it. I very seldom wear matte lipsticks because I find so many drying, but I really do like this one.

  4. Oh man... such a gorgeous shade... one of those you can wear lightly for summer and spring and then darker in the winter/fall. Love it.

  6. The only alter-ego lipstick I own is in the shade girl next door, and it's a super pale bubblegum pink that looks horrible and applies patchy. The formula of this sounds better though, so I might try another one!

    1. Wow, I will definitely be sure to avoid that one! It sounds like a color that I would have loved, too! I did not have that experience with this one, thankfully!
