Given that Earth Day is upon us, I thought that I would feature some healthier products to green-up our beauty routines. Truth be told, every single day should be treated as Earth Day, but even small changes in our daily beauty routines, and habits, make a difference. I have selected two of my current favorite green skincare products from The Body Shop to ring in Earth Day.

Furthermore, as The Body Shop celebrates their 40th Anniversary this year, they are reasserting their core values with the launch of their "commitment to make a real, sustainable and positive difference in the world, which includes a new Limited Edition Hemp Hand Protector that puts the power to make a change literally in the palm of your hands."
The Body Shop Hemp Soap on a Rope (Regularly $12.00 from The Body Shop): This non-drying soap effectively removes dead skin cells without stripping the skin, and it leaves skin soft, supple and hydrated. It is enriched with Hemp Seed Oil and Shea Butter– making it a wonderful choice for dry skin in need of added moisture.  It has a warm earthy scent that is neither overpowering, nor does the aroma linger on the skin for a long period of time.

Features:
  • With pure, moisturizing hemp seed oil
  • Gentle, non-irritating cleansing
  • Enriched with Community Trade Hemp Seed Oil
  • Can be hang-dried by its durable rope, so it doesn’t pick up dirt and bacteria sitting on the side of the tub.
Ingredients: Sodium Palmate (Surfactant), Sodium Palm Kernelate (Surfactant), Aqua/Water/Eau (Solvent), Glycerin (Humectant), Sodium Cocoate (Surfactant), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter (Skin Conditioning Agent), Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil (Emollient), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Sodium Chloride (Viscosity Modifier), Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate (Chelating Agent), Coconut Acid (Surfactant), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), CI 77492/Iron Oxides (Colorant), CI 77007/Ultramarines (Colorant), CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide (Colorant).
The Body Shop Limited Edition Hemp Hand Protector ($20.00 for 3.3 oz from The Body Shop): This lusciously rich and ultra-moisturizing hand cream leaves chapped hands soft, hydrated and luminous in no time at all. It is very concentrated, and it sinks into the skin quickly, It has a light and pleasant earthy scent that fades soon upon application.

According to The Body Shop,

This hand cream also supports The Body Shop Foundation in helping to increase awareness around the negative changes happening to our planet and to create positive change.
