I am absolutely obsessed with rich and luxuriously creamy body butters, creams and lotions, and as a huge fan of Josie Maran products I am utterly elated by their variety of high quality moisturizers for the body. I luxuriate in using them, and simply cannot say enough good things about these healthy, cruelty-free and ultra high quality products.  Two of my current favorites are the Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Ultra Hydrating Body Butter in Lavender and the Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream in Vanilla Apricot– not only do they smell delectable, but their textures are silky smooth and such a great pleasure to use.
Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Ultra Hydrating Body Butter in Lavender ($35.00 for 8 oz. from Josie MaranSephora and QVC): This velvety smooth, antioxidant-enriched, whipped body butter is rich, lightweight and profoundly moisturizing. It leaves skin soft, supple, hydrated, and unmistakably luminous. It is neither greasy, nor is it sticky, and it sinks into the skin quickly. The lavender aroma is neither cloying, nor does it linger long enough to interfere with other fragrances that one might opt to wear. It is luxurious, effective, and packed with healthy and effective ingredients.

According to Josie Maran,

Josie Maran's signature ingredient, argan oil, is spun into a unique creamy butter to easily revitalize skin and restore softness while improving skin's texture. Powerful antioxidants enrich and nourish your skin as you indulge your senses with a subtle all-natural aroma.

Argan oil is produced from the argan tree in the semideserts of Morocco. This oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, which have antiaging properties. This organic ingredient is known to help and prevent dehydration, inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and sebum production. It is your answer to healthy, youthful, and radiant skin and hair.

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream in Vanilla Apricot ($12.00 for 1 oz. from Josie MaranSephora and QVC and $40.00 for 4.6 oz. from Sephora): This is a very rich, exceedingly hydrating hand cream that is packed with good-for-you antioxidant-rich ingredients. It is lightweight and fast absorbing, but isn't in the least bit greasy. Chapped hands are immediately rendered soft, smooth, supple and hydrated. The Vanilla Apricot fragrance is the perfect blend of the two scents that together create a warm and creamy fruity floral aroma.

According to Josie Maran,

An ultrahydrating, never-greasy hand cream infused with 100 percent pure argan oil and shea butter, and lightly scented with a natural vanilla apricot fragrance.

This rich, never greasy, super hydrating cream keeps hands looking and feeling good. Josie's signature ingredient, argan oil, is spun into a creamy butter to revitalize skin and restore softness while improving skin's texture. 1. Sadly, these did not work for me at all, especially the hand cream :(
How are you my lovely one? I am dealing with a case of plagiarism right now and it is the worst situation possible. It's been exhausting.
Besides this tiring and painful thing, life is ok. The weather here is nasty but I stay in doors and have lots of green tea covered in a blanket and I love it. If I have to face the reality of the outside world things are less wonderful for sure! Doing a lot of reading for a new project. Working, teaching, the usual.
Now I'm obssessed with Dior makeup! Last month it was Burberry. I believe I told you I was using May Lindstrom's system but it broke me up badly :( That is such a pity not only because of the price tag but because it smells divine!
I also had a similar experience with the Zelens system :((( so right now Im back to Koh Gen Do, tried and true.
Sending you love and light you luxurious soul!

    1. Hi love!

Wow, what about these two products made them unsuitable for you? They have worked so well for me. Was it the fragrance or the formula, or a combination?

OMG, I am currently dealing with two cases of plagiarism, and I know what you mean. I would love to hear how brazen and unbelievable your situation is. We will have to email about it. One of my cases is so brazen that I actually couldn't believe it! I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this. I hope that your university has a great support system in place for professors who have to deal with this!

I would love to hear more about your current Dior makeup obsession, and certainly know that you have ben loving your Burberry recently as well!

I am surprised that May Lindstrom products caused you to break out. I wonder if you are reacting to some of the botanicals. Interesting that the same thing happened with Zelens. I'm glad that KGD remains tried and true!

I have not forgotten about your request for a post on my top pick eye creams, and will definitely get going on that once I am finished editing my pile grad theses.

Sending you lots of love! xoxoxox

  2. How does this hand cream compare to the one by Tatcha. Tatcha is currently my favorite hand cream, but I would love one with a lower price if it is as good.

    1. They are really quite different from one another– from the ingredients forward. They are both very hydrating, and they both leave skin soft and supple, but TATCHA heals skin conditions like no other. That Blue Indigo is such a potent anti-inflammatory ingredient that effectively heals a myriad of skin conditions. They just aren't sufficiently similar to do a side-by-side comparison. If TATCHA remains your holy grail hand cream, I would just stick with it!

  5. I haven't tried any of these products. I'm not a fan of lavender, but the vanilla apricot sounds good enough to eat!! LOL! I'll try it on when I'm at Sephora again.

    1. Hi Stacie, These are definitely great products worth trying! If you don't like Lavender, then you definitely would want to try another scent in the body butter! The vanilla apricot is a really warm and yummy scent! It's definitely worth checking out on your next Sephora trip!

    1. I suspect that they might be too much for you. The formula is really fantastic, and it might be worth taking a sniff of the milder scents on your next trip to Sephora.

  7. I'm not sure I could do either of the scents - I'm so picky with them!

    1. If neither of these scents is appealing to you, it might be worth smelling some of the other scents next time you go to Sephora. The formula is quite nice!

  8. Yes - these are some of my favorites. I love the formulation and to me the scent is not too bad - considering others I have tried.
