“We’re thrilled to host our second annual Beauty Week to celebrate our shoppers and introduce new shoppers to our beauty selection,” said Maren Giuliano, global Whole Body executive coordinator at Whole Foods Market. “Our shoppers care about the ingredients they put on their skin, just like they care about what’s in the food they eat, which is why we’re so proud of our unparalleled quality standards for our beauty department.”
For years, Whole Foods Market has been lauded for its beauty department standards. In 2012, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics named the company “the leading national retailer” in personal care product safety; in 2014, the grocer was named runner-up in the Sustainable Beauty Awards’ “Sustainable Leadership” category; and in 2015, Giuliano was recognized by Women’s Wear Daily as one of the “50 Most Powerful Women in Beauty.”

Whole Foods Market set its own standards for organic labeling on personal care products, as there are no mandatory government standards for the “organic” label claim on body care products.

  1. Love the Trilogy and Evan Healy products! They are effective, while being very reasonably priced.

  2. Could you do a review on the Mineral Fusion mascara? I've got hard-to-keep-curled lashes. Sadly, these Hello Beauty bags aren't available in the Canadian Whole Foods stores.

    1. Hi BooBoo! Yes, I most certainly will. I will pull it out of the bag and start testing it this week. It's too bad that Whole Foods isn't having the Hello, Beauty Bags in Canada! They are a really great value, and they are stuffed with so many goodies! :-) How are your feline babies?

  3. I got two of these bags (from two different stores). The hand cream has an odd scent but works well. The lipstick is a shade I cannot wear. Tried the mascara which gave a nice look but seep down into my under-eye skin.

    1. Hi Cindy,

Are you giving one as a gift, or are they both for you? I haven't tried the lipstick or the mascara yet, but am really excited to try both. Did the mascara migrate when it was still wet, or after it dried? I have heard good things about this formula before, but haven't ever tried it. I love the super cute bag, and am really happy about the skincare items that they included! :-)

  4. I got two bags for myself. Might give away some of the products. I figured that if I love the hydrosoul, the value is there. Also, at the first location I put on the mascara and liked how it looked. At that point, I knew the lipstick wouldn't work. Rosehip oil is good for burns when cooking! I believe it migrated after it dried. Looked great when I put in on in the car. Later when I returned home, it was all under one of my eyes. I will definitely try it again, though. Not sure when as I don't use mascara most of the time.

    1. At that price, it was a great choice! The Hydrosoul is really wonderful! Rosehip Oil is definitely good for burns! Perhaps let the mascara dry a little between coats, and try not to apply too much. I will start testing it tomorrow to see if I have the same issue.

    2. I'll be interested in your test run. I only put on one coat.

    4. Tried twice more, definitely migrates (for me) which is a shame because I like how it looks on my. I may try it paired with my Clarins product that 'waterproofs' your mascara. You apply it over your mascara to make it more durable. We shall see. (Now, where did I put that item?)

    5. This is so strange! I wonder if the Clarins product will do the trick! I still haven't worn any makeup since I have been chained to my desk working, but I am about to reemerge and join the land of the living!

    6. Yesterday I tried this mascara with the Clarins Double Fix. It improved a bit but did not eliminate the problem of it migrating under my eyes. That was the last chance. I won't be using this mascara again. Hope you have a better experience.

    7. Hi Cindy, Then I would definitely say that it is a huge miss for you! I still haven't had the time to begin testing it, but i will soon. I hope that I don't have the same experience. I will have to test it on a day that I am at home because I really don't want to risk having that happen at work!

    8. Or just bring along some qtips, lol!
