Now that the weather has cooled down, it's time to add copious amounts of moisture to your hair, skin and lips to avoid dehydration, drying and chapping. Despite the fact the temperatures in Los Angeles don't dip as low as they do in other parts of the world, we are definitely experiencing a considerable cooling trend. As soon as it cools down, I bolster my beauty routine with lots of added moisture, and here are a few of my current favorites to keep my skin, tresses and lips moisturized during the colder months.
kms California MOIST REPAIR  Leave-In Conditioner deeply penetrates hair and helps detangle, moisturize and fights frizz. I simply spray it on wet or dry hair for added manageability and moisture. The formula is lightweight, the results are immediate, and the effects are long-lasting.

Directions: Shake. Spray onto towel-dried hair and comb through.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil is a delightfully lightweight, fast-absorbing, ultra-nourishing multipurpose oil that can be used from head to toe. It leaves skin soft, supple and luminous. I have been it sitting on my nightstand, and have been massaging it into my scalp, cuticles and face at night, and have been thrilled with the results. This a a highly effective and affordable luxury beauty oil that is obsession-worthy.

According to Josie Maran, "this liquid Moroccan treasure, loaded with Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, so it has amazing healing, conditioning and repairing properties. Argan oil benefits your skin, hair, feet, nails, and even your baby's bottom…."

Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose Hand Cream ($15.00 for 1.4 oz. from Molton BrownNordstromSaks Fifth Avenue and Barneys New York): I am completely obsessed with this hand cream because it is fast absorbing, unbelievably nourishing and hydrating, and because it smells heavenly. It leaves my hands unbelievably soft and supple, and the delectable scent lingers, but is never cloying. It is a beautifully articulated fruity floral that offers the perfect balance between the zesty citrus, Rhubarb and the Rose extract. In my book, this is hand cream perfection.

A replenishing hand cream blended with white truffle extract and rose. This intensive hand cream is an instantly absorbed daily treat for delectably soft and luxuriously moisturized hands with temptingly sweet aromas.

Top note: Rhubarb extract to keep hands healthy.
Middle note: Rose extract (to help moisturize).
Base note: Aromas of zesty yuzu and grapefruit.

  3. I used to use KMS haircare all the time, but somehow migrated away to other brands. But I need to look for a KMS color-safe conditioner because they used to be the best for my hair!

    1. I did, too Allison, and it is very bit as good as I remember it being years ago. I definitely think that the color-safe line would be worth trying.

  4. Oh, yes. Cooling down. It snowed, here today. SNOWED. I hate. Snow. With the cold comes the dried out skin and me, slathering on all of the moisturizing things. Argan oil is a great fave. I recently drained the last of my supply, time to get more.
